To my knowledge there unfortunately isn't. Due to treasure islands most often being hacked, there are this kind of sorta game breaking things that can happen, so it's adviced to confirm what is safe from consequences and what isn't

I believe just visiting them won't put you in that sorta risk the main thing to look out for really is just not picking up items you won't be able to normally find as dropped items, such as construction kits, or items with Japanese names if your game is in English

It's not a region error it's a connection error- often related to NAT type

in my old save (restarted my island and it all works normal now) my museum didn’t have a art section even after updating, and redd never visited me, redd was on harvs tho and i purchased a real painting from my friend and when i tried donating blathers said i didn’t have anything in my inventory and that he excepted fish fossils and bugs

So I have an unmodded switch OLED which is making this even more confusing for me. my third villager house plot out of the three you need to craft, I had Dobie as my villager. Then for some reason a few days after he'd moved in, his plot becomes empty (I did not talk to him and tell him to leave, it just disappeared) and Twiggy moves in. So Dobie is on my island and I can talk to him fine but, no house, when I talk to Tom Nook he says that I can "move Dobie's house" but the kit won't work as it tells me no matter what that there is "not enough space" (when there clearly is). I'm LOSINGGGG MY MIND. This is a unmodded game and this is a new OLED and I've tried putting an empty plot to see if maybe Dobie replaces it so he has an actual house but nope. Someone else took it. I can't find anything online with anyone else having the same issue.

Hoping a mod or glitch pro can help 😭

There's also always the small chance you haven't just happened to find her, she can sometimes be very evasive depending on where she happens to appear

He should do that when another day passes in-game! Try going to the next day and see what happens. The villagers should be there and Tom Nook will give you your next thing to work on, but if that’s still happening then yeah that’s pretty weird

Have you ever visited another persons island before? It’s not filling yet since there is no one in your MIQ (move-in queue). You get villagers to fill in that queue from other player islands! That’s what happens to them when someone voids a villager, they go to the MIQ of a player that has visited them before. I can’t remember off the top of my head what the percentage is of the plot autofilling with an empty MIQ, but it’s fairly low iirc. So that’s normal what is happening to you

It's a glitch that can happen and it can't be undone

It’s not really a glitch as it happens to anytime when someone else takes your villager in boxes. Once someone invites that said villager in boxes to their island, that said villager will say they have moved out. That empty home will turn into a empty plot the next day

Can someone help me figure out what's going on? Theres some kind of glitch in my game because I timeskipped about 2 days so I could be on the right date and time in game and irl, and I log on today and get the bedhead thing (which only comes every 15 days) and about 200 weeds grow which is about a years worth. I double check every and I wasnt in 2021 before or now, it's only a 2 day difference but everything I did yesterday is still saved into my game and I can't think of anything that couldve happened, and I'm sure I wasn't in another month or year before because all of my bulletin notes are normal and if I wasnt it would have notes from other dates

Has anyone else ever heard of or experienced a glitch where a villager approaches you and asks to call you a "new" nickname, but it's either your actual name, or the nickname they already call you? But if you tell them yes, they start calling you a different nickname than the one they just told you? This has happened to me on more than 2 occasions.

I have had them give my actual name as a suggestion, but only after I corrected a different NPC to call me by my actual name and typing it in, to "remove" a past nickname. Did you happen to do that? I think basically every NPC has a memory of 1 nickname, then if an NPC runs up to you, they'll pull a random one from the pool even if it's your actual name or is already the nickname they call you by.

The part where they start calling you a different nickname is definitely a glitch though.

Let's say my IGN is Codel

One time, the villager had already been calling me Vitamin P, and they approached me and told me everyone's been calling me Vitamin P, and if it's okay if they start calling me that too? I say sure bc wtf. Then, they start calling me Maestro after that conversation instead.

Another villager does the same situation later, but instead, asks me if they can call me Codel. Which is already my name. Then they start calling me Faboo after the conversation instead.

It's hella weird 🤦🏻‍♀️ I tried submitting it to an official nintendo forum, but the only response I got was that I wasn't allowed to use my real name in my associated account in order to protect my privacy. Fitting lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

(regarding Codel's situation) I assume it has something to do with a change in the interactions with npcs. My Fauna has been having convos with other villagers in which they ask to use her catchphrase, but since it hasn't been long since she came back(I had a friend hold onto her in order to get her real house), she has her default "dearie" (bc my friend did reset her catchphrase).
So what happens is that the other villager will ask her to copy her catchphrase, but then end the conversation with their own original catchphrase (Marshal=sulky, Phoebe=sparky).
I know that she retains the friendship level I had with her, so theoretically she should ask me for a custom catchphrase, but she still hasn't.

I guess this is less of a problem and more of a "huh, neat" glitch but I still find it worthy of sharing cause it didn't happen on last version, even though Fauna had been on my island for like 3 weeks or so before the update since she came back from my friend's

i have a question. so roald asked me to move and i said yes. i sold him to a person and they were able to talk to him and convince him to move to their island. when they were leaving my island a communication error occurred which i think was on them because they just sat in my airport for about 5 minutes. next thing you know roald is still on my island. note: this is all at 2am approx. 5am comes when he's supposed to be voided and Isabelle announces he's supposed to be leaving tomorrow (Tuesday). so i tt to Tuesday and he's still packing
