I’m terrible explaining. Look up a diagonal bridge tutorial and it’ll help you. It’s needs to be longer. I think the width is fine though.

i kinda threw this together and didn’t put much effort into it bc i told myself i’d just fix it later but i have NO idea how to decorate this area and it’s been bothering me for like a month now anyone have suggestions ?

I like the gazebo and the water fountain, if you’re going for a more sophisticated look then you can make it look very put together with like a European feel. What I would do for that area is to get rid of the Froggy chairs and the table and add more trees, bushes, and flowers of my choice to make I look natural and in front of able sisters I’d keep the mannequin. Yessss natural items are a great way to make an area super bright and nice, if you would like to add Froggy chairs then you could add very multicolored flowers to match the vibe. You can also add star fragments on the floor, mush lamps, lighting, anything that you want :))

So I would say you could do a few things. The water is close so you can always make a decorative waterscape with like a mini island and little hopping spots in the water, you put a villager house and yard there, you could do an orchard, a seating area (think vending machines, outdoor tables/chairs, picnic, etc.), or you could do a little nature trail with trees, flows, shrubs, wood stakes, etc. Are my current thoughts without knowing if you have a theme or not

For reference what is your island theme/style?

So if you want them grouped together, I would say go for a more culdesac vibe as for personal layout favs I tend to group mine in 2-3s and make sure they are not aligned on my map so it feels random then I use terraforming/water etc. to create more dimension by making them go up and down more so it feels more closed in. Just without knowing anything that's my 2 cents

If you want all villager to have a yard that might be a bit difficult. I would separate your terraforming to keeps things more interesting here. Let me do a rough draft super fast

So you could think about putting houses anywhere there is a black dot (assuming everything else on your map is taken up). The red is the 3rd level of terraforming here to show how the houses can be broken up. They won't have like any crazy yards or anything but if it's natural, there is still space for trees and such. I would then add some ladders/inclines like to the far right to get to the beach, the private beach, and the house on the top left. Just my thoughts

Some tips though, villager houses are 4x4 so you might want to lay down some patterns on the ground before actually moving the houses so you can plan accordingly if symmetry is important to you

Two things worth noting

• Triangular river and cliff tiles have to have a full tile next to both sides that arent the hypotenuse (so the wavy ponds in acre E4 arent possible ingame, as well as some parts of the river such as the east river mouth)
• That river is most likely too thin for fish to spawn, though I may be wrong on that

I suggest moving all those houses. Also, move all those flowers to the beach and remove the path. You’d have an easier time deciding what to do with a blank slate. I’m terrible at explaining things, but maybe look up a video on villager neighborhoods. That’s what I do.

I would suggest checking out any themes or styles you like for inspo. There are a couple ways to approach it of figuring out base shapes you like for terrforming/rivers on a piece of paper or you are start doing a little here and there (I would start with the entrance at this point then since that sets the mood for the island). I personally will figure out the general area I want certain things like my house upper left or I def want a forest area to help guide me. So to sum up, find inspo general theme/vibe then figure out general location of stuff. Doesn't need to be super specific but just enough to get you started and tweak later when you decorate. Hope that helps!

It’s been a while since I did anything to my island. I just haven’t been inspired. I decided to make a butterfly garden. It’s not completed yet. I actually don’t know how big it’s going to be because I plan to have at least 2 villager houses above the butterfly pond. But yeah, I like what I have so far. I definitely should’ve used a limited amount of flowers because now I feel like the flowers I used aren’t used consistently. That’s okay though.
