I think you have a pretty cool river mouth entrance. If it was me I would like the river mouth somehow extend to a cliff connected to waterfalls and wind it somehow to the other side of the river mouth. Give it a natural zen field like theme to the island but it depends what you envisioned your island to be.

You don't need a capture card. This button pressed once takes a photo and held down takes a video of the last 30 seconds and it saves to your switch and can be posted regardless of having a memory or capture card

Terraforming and waterscaping took a while so I’m glad it’s finally done and it stayed faithful to my planner island concept so I’m really happy with it!

Most of the island tours on her channel are of Japanese-themed islands, and as an added bonus, her commentary is great. Any rocks would make a fine spot for a lifeguard's post. You could also set up a seafood market or dog beach. If you've already built on your rocks and/or peninsula, maybe there could be trails leading up to the builds with street lamps, custom vertical pathing and cruiser bikes.

Thank you for the feedback! I think the red zen bridge definitely fits that traditional style. The wooden one I think has more variability generally speaking. The bridge will be partially covered with some trees and stuff too whichever I decide. I do think the grey would look nice with my path which is more grey in tone but I wasn't sure if a statement bridge would be better haha 😄 I'm using the industrial bridge on my other river since I have a road use it.

It honestly depends on kind of theme you plan on going for with your island. I think that layout would be good for a city core island since you can connect your airport and resident services with a sidewalk or street, but it all ultimately depends on what you want to do. You don’t have to stick to one theme, but I would maybe just start with one for now and go from there cause you can always worry about fine tuning details later

If you're going for a more realistic forest type aesthetic I'd widen the sides a bit to make a more oval shaped pond. Adding several trees in the back (close as you can) would look good and some wheat field scattered around the pond. A lilly pad code would look great around it 2.

You can use simple pannals or medevile side walls to blend It together the side walls above 8,000 is bells so it's cheaper then tje castle walls. Some simple pannals with a window design or even a lattice one cold work to

I don't really have a "theme" for my island but I do make parts of my island themed, mainly villager yards

for raymonds I obviously used a lot of stone items and combined those with glowing moss items

For example, for months I've wanted to use the Festivale garlands (2x0.5) as a fencing around areas like a music festival or carnival/amusement park in the cities I've tried planning.
Rope partition (2x0.5) looks good for red carpets or nightclubs like entrances.
The new Fence item I've heard is a good overall item for cities. Fencing, Windows, etc.
I'd provide examples but unfortunately I've been stuck in planning several failed islands ever since Halloween 2020

(hoping I can ask for suggestions here..) so, I'm working on my island, and I want to go with a natural, deserted island kind of style but with a bit of civilization; a small village for the most part, if that makes sense
I have my villager houses laid out where they should go, but I'm working on the pathing, which is gonna be like, across my entire island and in all kinds of directions n such
I have this path currently, partially built to see how it goes, but imo as it goes up it doesn't look that great; not as natural, you can tell it's got straight lines and repeating patterns and overall starts looking a little weird, but I love the whole style of the cobblestone path, and hoping it'll look even better during spring/summer (green grass to compliment the flowers)
any suggestions on what I can do? heres also the code for it so yall can see most of the pieces i have to work with (i have a few more from the same person w the same style)

What I have done to combat this repetition in the pattern is to make two versions of the same path so that I can randomly alternate them. Since you have used another code, I would suggest reverse engineer the pathcode and create a new+extra one to solve this problem

yea fair. I can reverse engineer pretty well I think, so that's not too terrible. Colours are my real difficulty though..

You can make a custom pallet. That is what I do most of the time. Perhaps #custom-design-help🎨 can help you further with more detailed questions since I don't really know well how to describe the answer well

You could use the mini cactus on a stand/light box then for the plants up top have the cliff extend a bit so you can put some plants up there too or in the display shelf if you want

I don't really have a set aesthetic I'm planning to follow, but cottagecore and zencore are pretty close! I'm planning on having lots of parks and little woodsy areas with different themes, like a bamboo forest for villagers like Kabuki & Genji to live in and a pine forest for the campsite.

I mean it depends on how big you make them. You can give a villager a small yard, and it’ll still look as nice as something more bigger. I personally prefer giving my villagers medium sized yards because it makes decorating easier for me.

It really depends on you personally. I've scattered my villagers houses and given them all decent sized yards and it takes up almost half of my island, but I prefer it that way. It means I don't have to worry about filling a large portion of my island
