I like to have another plaza or area purely for seasonal stuff. The circle near the museum could be like a rest area (benches, flowers, vending machines, fountains,etc, and have that flow with the museum area). An idea I see from looking at your villager list is that you could have a decent group of themed areas for sets of villagers. Like Ankha and Coco in a desert / Egyptian area, Sherb, the horse and the dogs in a prairie / farm area, The rhino and elephant in a savanna between the prairie and desert, and a jungle for Ribbot and the other cat.

It looks good, i have a similar island setup but instead of a pit, i walled off my town hall with zen fencing, having road openings on each 3 sides and have one space with flowers and trees between the townsquare and the fences.

Why not having a different fruit which is not your native on your island to have more money when selling them? Maybe you can add little fun zones like a greenhouse close to your flower beds, a little farm close to your garden etc

I usually just throw a tree there and call it a day when I need to hide a panel edge.

If you are doing buildings, then scaffolding, bookcases, display stands, etc are okay to use too since you will have a second story typically. I have also even used streetlamps to just make it less noticeable so it's not something you notice right away.

This must’ve taken you a LONG time. It looks so cute I did a butterfly map when I first started but realized it wouldn’t really work cause of the lack of space. I recommend pinterest and YouTube for kid core islands! Nook miles redemptions has a bunch of playground stuff + elephant slides + all the cute mini toys they sell at nooks cranny may work. Yeah I'm doing a bit of city core myself and went for grey but the brown brick is nice looking though. I ended up making a grey version of a path another creator made in brown :D. Sorry I have not done any Zen-styled island so I can't help ya there.

Currently what I have so far with entrance and plaza. Thinking about putting bookshelves to hide the cliff and I want a benches for the plaza. Not digging the fence right now. I just placed it there for reference. And I’m going to customize the items to maybe brown. Any thoughts on what I should add or delete?

How does the stone and iron fence look? You could also consider the plant partitions and bushes too hide the edges. I ended up using the sidewalk tile to border my non road paths. I think the use of some arches (party lights, festival garland) would look nice to frame the bridge a bit. Maybe some benches. I like the walkway to the bus stop/snack area. You could consider a picnic table or terraform the land behind to make the items fit more snuggly. Just some options. I do like the item choices and would love to see some streetlights/trashcans/car(s)/maybe even trashbags. Just some ideas 🙂

Here is my island design so far using the island planner website. I intend to make the museum a temple that is found deep in a magical forest. The island is supposedly a mix between fairycore/natural that is based around the moon and the constellations since I love both nature and the night sky! Let me know your thoughts! I need some opinions and all that stuff. I’m making an island that’s a “vintage elegantcore christmas” island. How can do all 3 themes and yet it seems clear as to what it is? I know I could focus on just one main theme and add stuff from the others, but I don’t know if that would turn out right. I was thinking about making a vintage Christmas Island and just add elements of elegantcore to it buy using those castle items and stuff. Also, the road code I’m using probably doesn’t help either, but I really like it. I’m using the winter version of the road code made by Colin Crossing (if y’all know him). But yeah, what’s the best way to tackle an island with 3 themes blended together to create one new theme?

It's not that bad. it is a nice challenge, you can perhaps fill the space with a horizontal road between the airport and town hall and then have sidewalks with items on both sides. You can elongate the path if you zone off sections and create the movement path to the right

I would say to create zones and small section that lean more into one theme than one of the other 3, but with some overlapping items or colouring patterns to make multiple themes work together

I would even go as far as using one type of flower around the island, like a white hyacinth or windflower as a base in all the small zones as a colour base and then vary different colours per zone

You could try adding things like the castle walls to obstruct the view so that it can seem farther away then put decorations in

Christmas is a pretty obvious theme, so I would recommend that you use a lot of the vintage looking or antique furniture while haveing elegant decor and structures around (castle walls, pillars, statue, plants, etc.) the Christmas decorations can just be added in around these and will still be prevalent in the theme just not over powering the other two.

hmmm I would suggest more trees like a forest past the lake. If you need spot for your campsite you could also consider it there too so it will be lit up when someone is in it. Also butterfly models might be a great item for here along with the rock items. I think it's just a matter of making it feel more full in the distance

I don't think you can disconnect it from the ocean completely, since you can't terraform the edge of the island. but maybe you could make it a small pond that connects out to the ocean? maybe with some stepping stones in it or something.
