because residential services is randomly placed on every map. there arent pre-set maps like in older games. you can have an exact carbon copy of a map, but residential services might be in a different place, or the pier, redds, even the airport. if you compare our maps closely there are even different sized beaches and border rocks

previous games used to have "chunk" generation, where there were like 5 different style generations for beaches and such

Ohh. So the windows, doors and stuff are by using panels. I believe they made a second cliff and added stuff there (where dom is)

Pretty sure it's a custom design, though that's a bit detrimental since you can't plant things on custom designs.

i think the only custom design part is the strip of grass going through the dirt, so the rest of the dirt is plantable. you can kind of see where the design hits the actual grass

Ok hi, I played this game a ton when it first released and have a 5 star but totally normie island. I've just started playing again after like a year and I'm going to full out design my island, what are your best tips?

I tend to start with the river first to get a good river shape I like, and decide how much land on each level I want. For instance, on my island I wanted a lot of it to be on the second level. I also wanted the river to make a neat squiggle. If you want an even smaller step, I would do the entrance first since it sets the mood of the island pretty well

honestly it looks a little lackluster. i’d try organizing your flowers around perhaps a fountain or water feature, putting pathing under your music area and playground, add fencing, round out your paths so they’re not all straight and maybe just use some terraforming to add dimension!

Think House On A Hill that looks over the whole town :) previously, I had the outdoor cafe on that middle level, and the top level was my house with a River loop around it, but now I’m not sure what to do with it. I could make it all natural space for bug spawning but maybe there’s something more interesting to spice it up?

Yeah, there's no brown ones. The color it comes in is black, magenta, navy blue, orange, pink, turquoise, white, and yellow. Also, with the new update coming soon you'll be able to customize your public benches and stuff like that so you can try out different colors without needing to trade

Villagers can give you uncommon fruit as gifts or rewards for tasks. This is the only way to get them without multiplayer trading, and islands by default have a natural fruit (the ones that grow on your island) and a secondary fruit (the ones you find in some mystery islands)
