If you are looking to do a very natural River, use the grid your map is laid out on and draw it out how you want it first and if you want cliffs to meet with it, and do you want wetlands and if you want to start with highlands. Map it out first, don’t do it in one go, slowly build it as you work on each section and how items will interact with it. It’s saved me a lot of time and redo by doing that method. Also YouTube is your best friend as well @cloud torrent

my recommendation for the cafe is this: it can do without the different color couches, and you should probably leave the garden chairs in green, or brown.

So I want to move my shop and tailor (I want them next to each other) and was thinking about moving them next to my museum up on the top right... but do you think that would make my island too lopsided?

I plan on putting my house in the top left but then I’d what I would do with the bottom left. The way my river splits makes it kinda difficult
