@odd fable could use a wooden stool instead, and put up the dynamic painting (painting of a wave). if you wanted, it could be a picnic/ painting area with a blanket, outdoor picnic set, etc. or it could be a mini art studio on with an iron shelf, plants, workbench, etc.

Things like 2 log stools and a bon fire, logs and campfires, or that autumn leave fire are nice. You could also instead do a picknic area with the basket, bamboo lunchbox, a towel design or chairs and a table.

I'm using the path for my campgrounds and I wanted it to lead to this little market for the visiting NPCs, I'm typically not a fan repeating segments of the path but I had no other choice for this area. does it look alright? thinking of just moving the stalls around so I can twist the path a bit, but I don't wanna use up too much space

What can I do when the plaza is this close to the entrance..? I want my island to look pretty natural/rustic but I’m not sure how to make the entrance, I know I want some sort of cliffs but not sure how to make them without it looking weird
And second, what path should I use? I don’t like the look of the in game paths, but you can wipe away custom paths by accident and walking on them sounds incredibly dull, so I’m conflicted

So it’s really difficult to implement a cliff that’s close enough to the entrance but doesn’t cover up the center of the TS on the right side

Because of you look here (just trying to make the base shape) you can see the cliff on the right would obstruct the town square quite a bit unless I make the cliff really straight on the top part but that would look really weird
It gets a bit too crowded if you know what I mean

@brazen vector well this is my layout. sadly it looks a little empty because custom paths don't show on the map, but the front section is what I'm most happy with right now since it has a dock area on the left and a town centre on the right
also that central island with the three bridges was an entire pain to measure out and make sure were going down in the right places

@dim dune this image in the pins was very helpful for figuring out the placement for my 3 bridge island. It's still frustrating, but try to measure out the space you want the bridge with placing paths as tiles if you're getting stuck

I’m fairly sure that if you haven’t placed down the construction kit of a bridge or incline you can return it, because unlike moving buildings where he takes your money right away bridges or incline construction kit doesn’t cost anything, just costs once you’ve placed it down

@idle cave General tips for using the path:
- keep the width of the path at 2 tiles (occasionally 1 or 3, but don't make it any wider than that)
- don't use the same section of path more than twice in a row
- curves! Make the path a winding one and in the places it curves around add something (flower/bush/deco) to make it feel more natural
- it doesn't all have to connect, you can end one section and then continue w another section right next to it

@idle cave If your going for a natural sprawling path type for your paths, try to integrate small breaks and plants growing out of them, also try to not make it blocky looking by creating diagonals and taper them at ends where it doesnt lead to a home, bussiness or frequently used area.
