@cobalt patrol I've seen the ema board design as just using simple panels like the pic below, it's not necessary to add anything else~ though, here is also a great example of a shrine that you can take inspo from to put near the ema board. I believe they used a bunk bed and stall to make the illusion

@hot bridge w areas that are more similar, i find it works pretty well to transition between the 2 by having a common ingredient in both decorating schemes like a common color, fencing or crafting material used

@manic prawn restarting is a lot of work, you've gotta advance through the beginning of the game and relearn all of your diys all over again. I would just flatten everything and start over that way unless the placement of the RS is that bothersome to you

@heady edge depends on what kind of market you're going for~ when I did a Japanese market I had diff woods and sable patterns and it looked fine since it's suppose to be colorful and somwhat disorganized. Here's some inspo (pics not mine) of markets with diff woods/patterns and same wood/diff patterns that also look amazing! You just have to play around with the combinations to see which one would work

Honestly? Ideas I wanna see them implement:

o A new building you can set up and customise to function as a fully customisable shop for visitors to buy whatever you choose to sell. Set the prices etc and upgrade the store as you gain funds.

o The ability to set "events" for your town. Things such as a Yoga morning, town yard sale, a jog. Little easy to code behaviors that can be set for times etc to make the town feel more alive.

o More Villager variety. If not more personalities, create more varieties like "Hobbies" and "Habits" that can differentiate Normal villagers more from eachother etc etc

o Bring an update with an island for Happy Home Designer that allows us to edit villagers houses, it costs and renovations take a day. Also bring Gracie back and let her organise your villagers wardrobes with you. Set outfits to fit weather and times of the year! Edit their workout gear and party wear!

o Lizard Villagers. Snake Villagers. Fox Villagers.

I've been thinkin about how I'm gonna terraform my island. And I kind of want to try a view that reminds me of a dam back home. It'd involve like the highest ground, a brick wall and beyond it you look down to see a whole valley of trees, use fake perspective to make roads n trains etc and a tonne of trees. And loads of water.

Mine is in the middle front of my island. Made it easy to make a small “town” with the shops. I don’t like it near the beach really, but I made a snack section in front. That way you can come off the beach and use the vending machine 😂

@crisp rivet honestly starting over is the worst and I wouldn’t recommend it. After getting my own switch i had to do everything again. You have to get DIYs again, villagers, and do the whole thing with Tom nook again it’s not worth it. I have one zone of my island that I really don't like. It's the Campsite area + surroundings. I can delete the 2nd player house (it's mine and I'm not using it), but I need help to know what to put in there. Use different flooring for different areas, you don't need to make all the same. Also, I personally prefer the regular grey rocks one, it matches nicely with the grass, it's kinda natural, and you can hear the steps. I personally don't like to use personalized designs in big paths

If you think that it's too cluttered then I suggest trying to make it into a bigger space? So that you feel like you can walk around it freely?
I always walk around my areas to see if it feels clautophobic, lags, or if It doesn't feel right.

What I used to do with my campsite was have a huge space for it and after that; plan out where things should go.

@brittle venture maybe remove the hedges that separate your campsite from the alien beach and tie in the campsite to that same aesthetic? think of it like traveling scientists and astrologers would visit your island to research that area or something...

It's best for the trees to be spread out and not cluttered together. Else it'll give the feeling of it feeling cluttered.

@golden nest if you pay attention to the higher level youll notice with cliff jumps its actually a secret pathway. the positioning of the items allows you to jump but doesnt allow a ladder to be used so you can cheat the secret path
