@austere rock I gave each house a small garden area, I believe it was 7x8 with the house in the middle and two blocks into the garden+2blocks out the back it gave me enough room to give them each something special out front without taking up my whole map

Working toward my island being a large outdoor TV studio with movie and show sets occupying most of the land scape for photo spots. Each villager has a role and a corresponding set surrounding their house. My islands called Analog, the flag is a retro box tv and I'm working on making the map look like one too!

@urban hemlock yep! just stand at the edge of a cliff and use the water tool and it will create a waterfall even if there isn't water on the layer below it. the section of cliff that you create the waterfall on must be straight (AKA not a rounded edge or a corner) and there must be at least 3 tiles (if i remember correctly) on the cliff. so build a single layer of cliff, then a second one, then a third one, and then you can create the waterfall on one of the sides

my resident services is in an extremely irritating location where it is ALMOST directly in front of my airport. i say "almost" because it's very slightly offset to one side, so instead of being located in a completely different area or being a direct line from my airport, it's just slightly off-center

way too close to the airport to put any shops in front of it, but also just off center enough that my path from the airport looks absurd

Wow! It’s a really nice layout though! If you’re worried about having too much space I’d move your villager houses a bit further apart. Otherwise, make sure you have essentials ex: orchard, flower farm

Then just fill in with small areas. There’s plenty of ideas on here like parks, zen gardens, pools, and cafes you can use to fill blank areas

Hi i need some advice. I am current trying to surround my houses with zen walls, giving each villager some privacy. How ever i made a mistake with allocation space for them. I currently have a 8x13 lot for 2 houses.

Do you guys think i should go with a 8x6 lot for each house which is very tight, or a 8x13 lot where i fence up both houses together?
