Might be able to just about get away with something akin to the second map although you’d need to account for things like the placement of housing and so on, not impossible but a challenge for sure!

@indigo zealot Some people like it, just like some people like to start builds on superflat in MInecraft. I personally say no - I find working with natural terrain as your base leads to better results for me.

Just to chime in a bit late - I agree.. If you do terraform EVERYTHING and your plan doesn't work out as well as you thought (I just went through this but thankfully I only really cleaned out the middle of the map) then you'll be left with a really naked and weird map
It took me an hour and 45 mins~ .. just about, to get back to my base map (sorta, river wasn't perfect but it was good enough)

I recently just got like halfway done with terraforming my island and my advice would be to start somewhere you know you want to have instead of something you're second guessing. it takes a long time to put something in, and take something out. visualizing what you want to do and just trying out different things until it makes you happy really helped me. xd

hi!! everyone here is super creative and i love everyone's builds... but im kind of struggling ha... I poured a bunch of hours into a new tiered residential area (work in progress), but i would love some feedback. I really want to incorporate waterfalls somewhere but i just dont know where :(

@tame pilot in my opinion i feel like the villagers houses are so far, it would be such a hassle to run all the way up there just to see wat they are doin or crafting but again just my opinion c:

@woven drift They are only slightly farther from where they are currently, so I think it'll be ok (they are more in line with where the campsite will be rn), but where would you put them if they weren't there?

I would put them in the huge field behind your house and with the space they used to be in, i would build a nice cafe spot right there or a flower breeding spot
Or maybe a nice scenery spot so ppl can gaze around

The field behind my house is my orchard (the dots are trees) but I could switch them out and do flowers in the bits to the left and right of my house
