If there are objects, trees, fences etc close sometimes they don't spawn. It's better to leave at least 3 spaces free until they spawn.

I am trying to make a castle centered on the museum and my back wall and side walls link together perfectly, but my front wall does not connect. I’m pretty sure it’s because the gates are 3 wide instead of 2 wide, but I wanted to do a double stair leading up to it. Is there any way I can make the walls connect? Please say yes…

The only issue is it’s currently centered on the entrance of the museum, that tower in the middle is directly in line with the doorway of the museum, if I move everything over to the left it won’t line up

Ah I think I found out, the platform is not quite even, there’s 8 tiles to the left of the museum but 9 to the right

The only issue is if I add an extra column on the left, my back wall won’t line up anymore

You can try to make it look smoother, by making diagonal corners in the river on the spaces below the cliffs. It's not flush with the cliff, but it makes it look smoother, imo. You can do this by putting down two spots of water on different rows first, and then connecting them in the middle to make a diagonal

Why are there holes in this custom designnnnn

It's because if you make like a full custom path with no transparency, it won't wrap around the default paths!

Both these custom paths have a dirt tile underneath them, but the green has a pixel of transparency in the corner so it's wrapping around the dirt path underneath

It's unfortunately unavoidable the creator included them so you could overlay them with default paths like that. If you put sand path under them, they will probably be the least visible, as sand path is the lightest option

Yes I mean exactly that - the way in which it assumes the shape of the dirt/etc. path, having the same edges as it does. If the transparent pixel wasn't there, the custom design would stick out over the dirt/etc. path's edges, and would have that sharp, square edge like in your initial picture. You can try it by placing a custom design with no transparent pixels on top of a dirt/etc. path, if you wish ^^

I think that'll be good for you, the third one. It gives you a lot of space for the beginning, while not losing other space. Like 1., top left for example. It gives a shit ton of space for the beginning, but you lose so much space because of how the rivers are. On the left and right of your island, it's all squished!

Yes, yessss of course!!! This is the creator code, it’s two sets of pathing so you’ll need a lot of room in your design app! It’s very worth it though, I’ve used it throughout my island (as much as I prefer the footsteps of the actual paths)

The Statue doesn't come in other colors, sadly. but the Greeks loved colorfully painted statues back then ^^ they weren't as marble white as they appear today. - as far as I am informed.

Maybe connect the water outlets so it looks sort of like the one in the book. I thought nooks cranny could be like the meat market or business district. Five roses could be like able sisters. Museum could be like the old square. And then just put the houses around to fill the space and for the roads, just gotta put a lot of brick down instead of custom design on grass that way can see it when you look at the map.

Try vary in different widths ! I find using a mix of the edges together (like you have to make 2/3 wide), as well as the single paths can help with shape. I have a small example from my old island (circled the single part in red!)

Most of the time paths look pretty plain until it’s decorated a little around them though, so maybe add a little around and see if it still feels off!

depending what theme you're going for it's more natural to have alot of rounded edges. so for the parts where you see a long straight edge, try to extend those/reduce those into multiple rounded edges and you can fill in the "holes" made with items if you'd still like to keep that straight illusion
