1. Statue(s)

i made something similar to this a while back, hope this gives some more inspiration

its honestly quite easy to make, you just put the fountain in the middle, then around the foundation you do bush, flower, bush, flower until it formes a circle around the fountain, then you just make the octagonal ring with the custom paths; the path codes for which are below if you want to use them :)

with your other images, just be realistic and understand you're not going to be able to copy it eye for eye; with a lot of the inspiration i look at, i get a general idea of what the theme in the image is, roughly where things are positioned and then actually do the build free hand, makes the build feel much more your own as well

not everything you see will always fit with each other depending on how your island is laid out, so just something to keep in mind as well :)

let's start with removing them holes. now i have no idea what theme you want but I would reccomend slotting your museum in the space first (unless ur not putting it there, then get rid of holes, make long waterfall ending in areas where holes were, and do a cute seating area on the terracotta) then take some of Red's fake art and place it around like a mini gallery outside, you could also take a barrel and slot a bug on top of it to give off some of the animals vibe. If theres still space left then use the plastic bench + drink / snack machine items in the redeem nook miles catalog to fill up some space.

if youre trying to do an island theme my advice would be to pick your theme first and then get decor for it (either trading or treasure islanding) and if you dont want to do a single theme but wouls rather mix them a lot of themes can be blendes together pretty easily! like if you like forestcore but want structure you could go with a mix of towncore and forestcore to make a nice little woodsy rural village, or if you like a certain season more than others you could use that season's color palette to decide the items you use for your main theme! like, i just finished my medieval island but i set it during sakura season so i used a lot of pastel and soft colors in my builds.

I think you can make it work, but it would require some creativity to do an entire island themed that way instead of just one area. You might have to use items backwards and layered to make the imagery you want

Also definitely utilize fossils combined in strange ways for the creatures

You might need to make a lot of viewing areas for illusions and make the illusion areas inaccessible in the DA because a lot of the layering techniques for illusions don't work up close

There isn't really anything you can do, apart from get a custom design that matches the grass color to make it look like the grass is overgrowing onto the path. You would need to change it out though every season to make it match

Maybe you could do a lot of small islands, and have RS and the shops on a larger island in the center, and have the smaller islands branch out from that one via bridges or stepping stones in the water. It could be cool too if the islands are cliffs instead of just flat on the ground

For builds, you could really do anything since your theme is just pink. You could make each section of your island somewhat different but still tied together via it's colors, like a town theme in one place, natural in another, magical in another, ect, and separate those spaces by either water or cliffs

Well, if you used a custom design path instead, it would have taken up the full tile and greatly reduced the amount of grass there. But the default in-game paths are skinny and don't take up full tiles on the edges. I know it's tedious but if and when you try using custom paths, you'll never go back

Well, I usually like to look for references! Nothing comes all of the sudden, so references is a great choice to start!
(If you want) you can look for a specific theme (or you can do many themes) that can help you think about specific decorations for this theme!
But the most important is always go slowly and on your time, because if you force yourself, you might get really overwhelmed (a.k.a. burn out), so never force yourself to have the prettiest island of the world, just follow your heart and do what makes you happy :]

only thing that comes to mind matters if you’re unlocking critterpedia: make sure that body of water on the 3rd tier in the north west corner registers as a river. you can test this w/ your bobber - if it flows, it’s a river. some river fish can only be caught on the 3rd tier.

I’m doing part of my island Halloween/spooky themed and part pink and cutesy!! im looking for advice!! These are the only parts I’ve really decorated so far, (not finished either) and I need advice?? definitely add a pumkin patch and you could make the brick path more like leading to houses and the stores and honestly just throw around pumkin stuf and i think it will look great just place down furnitures and where you think looks great definitely work in progress

like black roses for sure or black cosmos

and definitely don't use a lot of them in one area looks awful tbh

the road looks nice! if u want it to feel more 'realistic' you could try using the storefronts with/instead of the fencing and add in some background decor like the tall lightpoles, phone boxes, barrels/boxes, even a small stall! in the middle i would put either a little 'popup shop' like a record store, 'antique' booth, small bakery, off the top of my head since your path is a very vintagey feeling/worn brown cobblestone. if those dont spark joy i'd suggest a small sitting area! with a tree (either furniture item or actual) a bench/couch and a table with some associated decor!

I recently did a city section myself (a style that I have absolutely no experience with) and the resource I found indespensible were real-life references. Your plaza/streets will look so much better when you're emulating reality. Plus, ACNH has a lot of great items city items.

I think it looks super good, but a little advice is to terraform the cliffs a little more naturally? if that makes sense. it appears that the two chunks (connected by the bridge thing) are like perfect ovals. I would recommend flattening the area you hate the most, and design something you really want in that area. If the creative juices keep flowing, and you feel like you need to expand the space, you can continue to flatten further. That's just my advice.
