My personal advice is to stop new rocks from forming is by placing an object down every few tiles of land to make rocks look for somewhere else to appear. time consuming as heck but it’ll get it to spawn where you need

I’m building a rainbow moon walk and I just need to breed blue roses and green mums I’m pulling my hair out

A rock garden is very very tedious. The easiest way I read about to do it is to use a custom design to block off tiles every 2-4 spaces. Rocks need I think a 3x3 grid to spawn so you lay down a custom design everywhere you don't want the rock to spawn. Once you get the rocks where you want them, you can just delete the custom design and they will disappear from your island. Also, be sure to leave about 10 tiles open for weeds and fossils to spawn. Time traveling will help speed up the process quite a bit because it can take awhile

Question: I have a more vertical patch of land (it's a pretty big space but it's more vertical so I'm not too sure what to do with it. If I place a road down for it to connect to rest of my roads, it needs to be vertical or I can just make it a walking area instead. Regardless, I'm not too sure what to put there. I could do a park I guess. It's next to some buildings I made (music store and library). I have multiple times. If something ends up not working, I would either scrap the idea or try to make it work by changing something about it. You can always take an idea and use it another time if needed too.

You can't get it with regular paths

But if you remove the regular path under the custom design it should go edge to edge

My best advice is to build into the current landforms and let your ideas spark from that. Naturally a town develops around the land and not vice versa unless it’s more modern! If you can provide more detail on what vibe you’re going for I can try and help brainstorm!

you could either do a lot of foresty areas and dot the houses throughout, so they feel like little gothic woodland cabins, or maybe you could go for a victorian style and use darker colours and objects?

You could remove the inclines and put vines, and then download rug looking codes to put down and make little book nooks. I did something like this on my island. Could also put a ukulele/guitar with it for a little music area
