You need a correct amount of energy cards attached to a pokemon to be able to use moves

and you can only attach one per turn

for example if a move had "Normal, Grass, Grass" energy icons next to it you need 2 grass energy cards attached to it and 1 of any energy card as well (any energy card counts toward normal energy)

if that makes literally any sense
