idea is to remove and loosen any gunk between your teeth. The brush will help thereafter. So I usually do a 2-3 up and down motion on each side of the tooth. Sometimes you can clearly see you just got something stuck there, then I just work it out.

If you had a back up, you might've been able to retrieve it. It's not a Cloudsave, but a back up specifically for ACNH

If you're on the main screen of the game, you can press the - button.. this leads to a screen with Tom Nook who can talk you through things as said back up

Well theres that or sending it back, else it might die eventually and not turn back on :< my 3ds did that and i replaced the battery myself, its quite easy to do. The battery was an official part bought from nintendo themself. Idk if they do the same nowadays for switches, but at least then they sold batteries with the explicit purpose of replacing them. Most game companies want their consoles to have decent longevity, they make more money from games bought on console than the consoles themself (i did research on this at college )

I am very interested in console longevity, fixing consoles, and stuff like that, so i have some experience researching all of this :> less so on switch tho so i could be wrong, mostly about 3ds and ds

Also the game stores around me do it all the time, theres really no risk to it, the only time nintendo bricks things is for cheating which is breaking tos, as far as i know replacing a dead battery doesnt break tos (or at least it hasnt for their other consoles, i mean gameboy games are basically watch batteries that have to be replaced often )

Id recommend following what the game tells you to do until your island is around 3 stars, then you can start on the dlcs, treasure islands and real island decoration!

Its all about taking it slow and at your own pace!
