Just watched a video on YouTube by dagnel about the dialogues issues and it's fascinating

Basically, there's dialogue for every option possible in the game (when it rains, when a villager is sick etc etc) and it's extensive but the lines you see the most are the "everyday" lines and this give the impression that you're always seeing the same

The dialog issues I think mostly stem from people consolidating villagers of certain types and talking to their favorites more which are usually the same type and the community and environment we exist in now that promotes this behavior due to social media. The game actually has a lot of dialog. I think another issue is that it feels less impactful because a lot of it sort of blends together into the same general feelings at least for me, dialog really doesn't invoke many different emotions like prior entries. It doesn't feel like a life simulation as much as it does a paradise.

Curious if anyone here will have an answer for this (I doubt it) but for some reason I cannot travel via dodo code to any island. I’ve tried going to like 5-6 different treasure islands and everytime the dodo says “oh drumsticks it looks like there aren’t any islands to visit” yet I have an online subscription… my wifi works.. I’ve reset my switch.. and I’m watching a live stream for these islands so I know the codes are up to date and I can see that they aren’t populated by anyone at the moment so I’m honestly at a loss. I see no reason as to why this is happening has this happened to anyone else?

There’s two way you can go. Either you go section by section depending what inspired you in the moment. Pros is that it’s not overwhelming and you can easily focus on one project at a time. Or you can plan your full layout and island ahead of time to make sure everything fit, and line the way you want. Pros is that you can easily have a consistent style across you island but it can definitely be overwhelming

it depends, they allow you to bring villagers in to become residents on your island - but amiibos like the sanrio ones allow for special items to appear in your furniture/clothing catalog relating to the amiibo villager that you can order any time

i find them useful to my game personally, as do lots - but lots of people play without them

you can still get villagers & the special items without amiibos through tickets & trading.. just not the sanrio villagers (those are via amiibo only)

It was probably really good for its time but I played it maybe a couple years ago and wasn't super impressed. Especially nothing changing when you finish the game. That's always disappointing.

You're able start getting them after you unlock Brewster

You bury and water the fragment and the next day you can dig up the gyroid
