It might help to have a story for your island. On one of my previous ones, the dog villagers and the deer villagers were fighting and didn't like each other and lived on separate parts of the island. So I made up stories about their lives and decorated according to that lore lol

I don't really like decorating and it's not why I play the game or why I fell in love with the game. I also didn't care much about the extra items. I got it because it was on sale at some point for like $7 or something and thought why not. I'd personally rate the DLC a 6/10, but again my opinion is biased

also some people have their lunch in their car and most parking lots also have cameras facing to said parking lot

It's my birthday today and it's such a lonely one. I baked myself a cake to try to make myself feel better, but I don't think it's working. The only solution I can think of is to not care about birthdays anymore, but that seems really sad. Do most adults have lonely birthdays or is it just me?! I think I wouldn't feel as sad if I knew it was normal for most. Social media and movies make it seem like everyone you know is just supposed to come together and do something for you, but that's not reality...at least not for me

My birthdays tend to be on the lonely side. I do things that make me happy tho and enjoy it for what it is because unfortunately it’s not going to change for me.

I think what is hurting the most is that I do stuff for people's birthdays, but no one cares about mine. Just a simple Happy Birthday when they can be bothered to remember and sometimes it's like several days early or several days late. I think I should also stop doing things for others, especially if it's not being reciprocated. Save the energy for my own birthdays. Reason why I haven't until now is because I don't believe in doing things with the expectation of having something in return, but also, I think it's draining me and I might have happier birthdays if I save that energy for me

Honestly if your circle isn’t putting in the same effort; drop the rope. I finally did that and then surrounded myself with a circle of friends that remember me. They’re all online but they remember to say something to me and send me something small. It can be hard to find that tho (funnily enough I met all of them in an ACNH group lmao)

My husband NEVER does anything for my birthday outside of handing me his credit card. So I get the lonely feeling for sure. I wish he’d make an effort for me.

Happy birthday!! Honestly for years my birthday has been like that. Maybe that’s just how adult birthdays are. I have to go out and see my family if I want to do anything with them, they won’t come see me. This year they came to see me for like an hour because I was a week postpartum and couldn’t walk, otherwise it would’ve just been my hub and I. He’s not super big on birthdays since he grew up not celebrating them or holidays, so I feel like the only one who really cares about that day is me.
