Politics may argue if pronouns belong in schools and what not, but choosing a pronoun in a game were you could chose how you identify anyway, is just adapting to the way people think now a days. I knew gamer geek males who played as girls just because they didn't want to stare at a mans but while they played.

So getting more precise with how you identify as well, can only be a good thing.

Well it used to be that if you had a male character you were automatically given he/him pronouns and the game npcs would refer to you as such. Now you can choose for yourself and are not restricted by body type.

I don't understand why people complain about how people chose to identify anyway. It's not like everyone is asking everyone to do the same thing. Personally, I'd very much like to argue that Pluto is still a planet instead.

I think people who stick to their guns about "Pluto not being a planet anymore" and yet "gender should remain the same thing as it always has been." are very odd creatures in my book. So I'd like to think that a name can be changed to anything when there is new stuff learned about it.
