Hello! i have a question for anyone who can answer it. I'm new to the game. i've been playing for a little over a month now. and i got this super cute cat visiting me at the campsite. Her name is Ankha. I already have 10 villagers, but i'd like to have one of them move out pronto so that this yellow cat can move in. is there any way of making that happen? hmmm i don't think you can.. even if your villager asks to leave you'll have to wait the next day for them to move out. by then your campsite visitor will be gone

I think i figured it out, through the power of reddit. I can just spamtalk with Ankha until she wants to play a game, if I win the game, she'll ask Tom Nook if she can move in. it'll be a flat no, cus i already have 10 villagers. but if i go back to Tom, he'll recommend that one of the villagers wants to move. so I'll try that.

Okay:) well you can go two ways really, if you want you can buy Nintendo online or play multiplayer locally and the two of you can play together that way by visiting each other’s island, or (this one has to be local) you can decide on one switch to start an island on and register the other person as a resident. Once that’s done the two of you can work on the island together, but it would have to be on the same switch. You’d just have to connect the controllers from the secondary switch to the switch you’re using. Does that make sense? If it doesn’t I can probably find a far more in-depth video to help as it’s actually quite simple to do co-op😅

Ohhh I see, well if you put the game in one of the consoles and you then on that console create another nintendo account and you boot up the game from the new account, that way you create a second user on your island. Then close the game once it's done setting up and open the game again from your main nintendo account. Then you should be able to talk to someone at resident services and you'll both be able to play on the same switch. You'll just need to use a second pair of controllers:)

You need an empty plot for villagers to move into, otherwise they won’t show up on mystery islands when you use NMTs. You either need to place a new plot down if you don’t have 10 villagers yet, or you need to kick a villager to empty a plot if you do have 10 ^^

you can easily change it from being a "microphone" ability to "choose a villager prompt" too
