That would be why. Spawn tables are fixed to the time you arrived, so no matter how long you stay on the mystery island, tarantulas will not spawn. You'd need to leave the island and travel again after 7 pm.

I will just add on that if you're making a tarantula island for bells, their spawn rates were so heavily nerfed around release that it is not a good way to get bells.

They’re the ones on nmt island who say this and sometimes when I talk to a villager for the first time on my island. That have to be new, right? Idk how else to get ungifted villagers. My only theory is that the game randomly generates an island name to say to add more character and make it seem like they lived somewhere before.

as far as i’m aware, nmt island and campsite villagers are brand new, ungifted, and didn’t come from anywhere else, and therefore will not say any other island names aside from yours, may just talk about coming from somewhere else / traveling to the island they’re currently on.

autofill villagers that take an empty plot automatically will name the other player’s island that they came from, as they came from the move-in queue.

if you do see any nmt island villagers naming an island i would take a screenshot next time. i don’t believe it’s possible. thats as best an answer i have

You cannot prevent this, they do it randomly. You can, however, force the item into their wardrobe. Simply gift them a 1x1 floor-only item (i.e., not something that can be placed on other things) and it can replace the mannequin, which will push the item into their wardrobe.

One idea I can think of is making a list of areas you want to design on your island (like a café, floral shop, skatepark, and such) then look around on your map and determine which setting you prefer for each one. Seaside café? If so, secluded or by structures? Do this with each area and figure which setting best fits the mood you want for it!

I just learned a method on how to ‘try’ to make a certain villager move out. So when they say the animal that would move out. If it isnt your target just close the software. It always autosaves when texts are finished. Close it and it ‘may’ changed. I dunno if this works i havent tried
