How big is the cap? If I wanted to give my villager multiples of the same clothes could I do that to get rid of older clothes faster or will they not wear duplicate shirts and such?

@formal lily once you’ve built your first bridge talk to tom nook and you should be able to get three housing kits, you’ll then have to build some furniture for each (it’ll tell you what) ready for a new villager to move in, however if you place the plots without inviting a villager yourself they’ll auto fill so if you’re wanting to choose villagers yourself from the nook mile islands you’ll need to do this before placing the plots (super sorry if this is explained badly feel free to dm me with any questions!)

TTing can work to remove a certain villager, and you can return to today's date afterward, but the campsite villager won't still be there (unless it's an amiibo and you re-summon them). camp villagers are random each time it loads a new day, going back to today after time traveling won't make the same one come back again

didn't work in what way? only one rock spawns per day; if it doesn't spawn anywhere there isn't a valid spot (or it appeared someplace weird that you didn't check). the usual method is to put custom mannequins all over the island, since they can be a couple spaces apart and still block rocks and can be easily deleted later

your switches will have different islands on them, you can't play the same island on both unfortunately. the cloud backup is exclusively for data transferring, there's a special tool you need to use to do it called the Island Transfer Tool.

Go into your home press down ⬇️ on the d-pad and then any options you have for hallway flooring will be shown by using the left and right bumper. I’m unsure if you have to have the dlc(hhp) in order to do so. As far as the hallway wall it will look the same as the main wallpaper you have assigned to the adjacent room, you can’t select a separate wallpaper.

So, my family of four had Animal Crossing for about a week and a half before the switch got water spilled on it and we have to start all over (hadn't enabled island backup yet). We played for long enough to know that we did a terrible job placing our homes for long-term development. I know you can move buildings after a while, but any advice on divvying up space between 4 players? I've looked up lots of layouts, but most are just 1 or 2 players.
