yes an empty plot is only guaranteed empty for the day you put it down, or if a villager moved out, the day after they are in boxes, after that it can randomly fill

If you have ever played with other people, you are almost guaranteed to have picked up "voided villagers" that will move in the day after you put down a plot unless you fill it yourself on the day you put it down.

Campsite doesn't care if you have a plot or not (except if you don't have the max amount of villagers, but then they will just ask you to go put down a plot for them and move into it). They kick out a random villager.

If the design they are wearing is up on the wall at Ables, complaining to Isabelle will remove it from them. If it is not, complaining won't help. It's very weird. You also have to get rid of the design quick so that they don't go pick it up again.

You will be able to time travel back to get DIYS but, just in my personal experience from time traveling, it might mess up the "correct" diys that villagers are supposed to be crafting. Normally for october the villagers will be crafting diys you don't have, but time traveling forward or back mayyyy cause them to be crafting diys that you already have. Not a big deal but something to maybe consider? And that's just in my personal experience

Actually they might but I'm not 100% sure. I've heard that the month of your birthday and the month you start the game determine what flower your island starts with. Obviously it's not a big deal since you can easily get other flowers but just thought I'd throw in what I've seen people talk about and it's kinda interesting! :)
