(yes, it sounds dumb but) You’ll know if it’s one or the other if you used a clone resistant layouts, like pairs, which it sounds like you used a single pair, so you should be fine

essentially can you make a ‘gifted’ villager ungifted?

It does make sense, but unfortunately it's a bit convoluted and the success rate is rather low. If the only things they've been given are clothing items like tops/dress-ups, then you can overflow their gifted clothing inventory by giving them 24 copies of their default outfits.

That said, they can, at their will, place these items in their homes as mannequins, which would then need to be replaced by gifted furniture, meaning they're still considered "gifted".

So tl;dr, definitely not worth the effort even though potentially possible.

• Accessories: can be replaced by gifting them 24 'non-glasses' accessories (Villagers won't wear these, e.g. bubblegum)
• Caps (not helmets): Caps in the game are tagged either as free or womanly. Male villagers will only use caps tagged as free and gifting them 24 womanly caps will replace other caps from their storage. Since female villagers can use both types of caps, the only way to remove them is when they approach you to sell/gift/trade in the item. • My friendship level is definitely Lv5+ but the villager did not give me their photo, why? RNG. It is random chance to receive a photo after gifting them, it's not guaranteed.
• How do I get the different frames of the photo? Use a customization kit; it only costs 1 kit.

no amiibos aren't required at all, the animal crossing ones can be used to invite villagers to your campsite (which is unlocked later on in the game) where you can invite them to live on your island. They can also be used on Harv's island to spawn characters to take photos with, and you will also recieve a poster of the villagers which you can order

NPCs that haven't returned to this game also have posters, but don't have models in game so they cannot be spawned at Harv's island, but you'll just get their poster from scanning them

and then there's Sanrio amiibo cards

Indeed! As long as their plot says SOLD + the villager's name, and on your island you can no longer go into the villager's house because they're gone, then the villager has been "transferred" to them and you can change your date safely.

It's interesting that you mention not having KK Slider, because awhile ago we had suspicions that people couldn't get move-out bubbles without unlocking him (even though previously this was never the case). Since you're having so much trouble, it may be worth trying to get KK Slider first before continuing with your eviction process.

If you switch is broken and you can't use the transfer tool, if you had the cloud enabled you need to reach out to nintendo to get your save file back.

The cloud for animal crossing is different. Did you enable the cloud saves on animal crossing via the menu?

If you did, you can contact nintendo so they give you back your save from that cloud not accessible to players

   3.breed that pink with a yellow (from seed) and keep only the red from that
3. keep these red and breed them together, throw out any other red, keep only the reds from the pair above.

No you should be fine, there’s not really a way to tell if items have been hacked or not. You can get hacked items from another player who doesn’t have a hacked island if they got hacked items from a hacked island. Hey there! Coconut trees can only be planted on sand (on the beach or using the sand path with your terraforming app), you just dig a hole, click on the coconut in your inventory and then click ‘Plant 1’. Make sure you’re holding a shovel too.

I know that there’s technically no way to change the island rep. But if we had access to another switch, could we transfer her resident to that account, delete the save data on the original switch, then transfer her resident back to have her become the island rep?

We don’t care that much about the island itself, but she’s worked pretty hard for her money/house.

if you complete a plot it will fill automatically. If you see villagers on mystery islands you can still invite some.
Note that the interior of these first 3 houses will not be the default ones they have, but the "quest" ones

I would suggest trying to follow the patterns layed out on the nookbot bridge message, place the paths in the same spots they have done so you can visualise it, that might make it easier to see the space you need for the bridge
