I have a villager in boxes (from thought bubbles) while I have a campsite visitor. Would it be possible for the visitor to pick another villager to put in boxes or would he choose the one by default. I'm asking because I ran into a possible glitch before wherein I "replaced" a villager already in boxes with a campsite visitor and when the next day rolled over, the plot stayed empty.

I know in previous animal crossings like DS and Wii, people could hack your Island if they visited and put a building in front of your gate so you couldn't leave or put random buildings anywhere. Does anyone know if this can still happen in new horizons or its all been stopped now?

Afaik you can't get stuck. You arrive, whether in dreams or normally visiting, in places where the player can't prevent you from leaving, and in cases of emergency, if you force the exit with the - button or turn off you game you can leave. Other players cannot place anything to block completely the way on your island. The worse they can do is plant bushes or a tree and you have options for that

has anyone done the 'science' of shaking trees? im not talking about furniture and wasps falling; i know how that works. i mean, like. what are the odds that you get sticks? tree's bounty stuff? nothing? is the first few shakes more likely to give you stuff? because it really feels like it.

• Accessories: can be replaced by gifting them 24 'non-glasses' accessories (Villagers won't wear these, e.g. bubblegum)
• Caps (not helmets): Caps in the game are tagged either as free or womanly. Male villagers will only use caps tagged as free and gifting them 24 womanly caps will replace other caps from their storage. Since female villagers can use both types of caps, the only way to remove them is when they approach you to sell/gift/trade in the item. the website itself should tell you how to use it. But the basic idea is you enter your weather patterns each hour on each day until you have a specific weather pattern for that day, you keep doing this until it narrows down your island seed and then you can use the site to predict future weather patterns. Using times of shooting stars and rainbows can significantly reduce the amount of data you need to enter however as these are more unique to your specific seed and so it requires less stuff to enter before narrowing down to your seed

It is kinda complicated to use. The best advice I can give you is to only pick a weather type when you're 100% sure that its correct, and to only do it when the the next hour strikes (or within 5 or so mins, so anywhere between XX:00 and XX:05). Time travelling can also speed up the process as you won't have to wait for every hour, you can just time travel forward to each hour until you have a pattern for that day, then tt to the next day and repeat

Erm, so I have some black roses. I got gifted a gold rose and can (which broke last week). Today I woke up and have a random gold rose growing among my black roses. I'm... not sure what to think but do I just not water my black roses?

Black roses keep the "watered by a golden watering can" flag until they produce a gold rose, so the black roses can produce a gold rose way later after they were last watered by a gold watering can... They just need to be watered normally after that to be able to breed/clone (which can end up producing a gold rose if they still have the flag raised)

as for testing your internet connection, head to the swtich homepage, then go to settings, then internet, then click test connection. Ideally you both want a NAT type of A or B, anything else usually means there'll be issues when trying to play online

Best advice is really to make sure its able to spawn (4pm-9am in March, April, May, September, October and November) at a clifftop river (so any river that isn't on the lowest level). And just keep using lots and lots of fish bait. I'd recommend having some sort of fish guide open so you can check the size of shadows (and once you get confident enough with shadow size, only fish for the size 3 shadows and ignore other ones)

Open Nook's Cranny (Pay off your Nook Miles debt and upgrade your tent into a house, complete Timmy's shop materials request), then Mable can start visiting. Purchase at least one thing from her each time she visits, and on the third visit she should ask to set up shop

Mable doesn't have a bell limit, that was debunked

Hey if I place invisible Custom Designs all over my ground on my island will it effect anything? Im trying to push my rocks to a certain area as well so idk if that will work lol

It'll work, it's a fair bit more time consuming than using mannequins but if you're manipulating rock spawns it's definitely an option

Just beware that changing the custom design when place on the ground doesn't make it disappear like mannequins, you'll have to individually kick them all away once your rocks are done spawning

You won't get fossils anymore unless you intentionally leave spaces open for that, but no it shouldn't cause any other problems

I just started the game, it was only my second nook ticket and I invited a villager to come camp but they never came. I definitely have room for them so I don’t understand. Please help!

So villagers that you invite from mystery islands don't come to your campsite, they move right into empty plots. If you're in the beginning of the game, you may need to finish furnishing plots before you see them appear.

The campsite is a completely different entity that is rolled separately from mystery islands.

• What fruit does my Mom give? - Your mom will mail you a fruit. This can either be a new fruit that you have not obtained yet or a random one.

• How do I get the rest of the fruits? - You will only be able to obtain 2-3 fruits by yourself. To get the rest of the fruits you need to trade with other people. What I did was I went to mystery islands and dig up different fruit trees and brought them back with me. I have orange, coconut and peach now!
