not necessarily. most people amass a lot of nook mile tickets, (which can be done by grinding out nook miles and redeeming them for tickets or by trading for them), and then visiting mystery islands while having an open, unsold plot. they'll encounter a random villager and decide on whether or not to invite them to their island, and if you're looking for a specific villager then it can be a time consuming process.

If you only talked to them to give a wrapped 750+ present everyday (fruit or fossil) it'd take about 40 days to get level 6. But if you cheer them up, buy from them, catch fleas and all that it'll be quicker

They might not appear all at once as the beach has a max capacity of star fragments, I think it's around 15 but might be wrong, so if the wishes you/your visitors made produced more than 15 fragments, you need to pick these ones up in order for the rest to spawn progressively

It shouldn't affect your birthday as long as you don't tt to it. The birthday event begins as soon as you open the game and i believe you can not replay that sequence in the same year, so be careful not to tt accidentally to it if not ready

I would guess it's because the flowers available there where rarer depending on the player... as they depended on your base flower, which is random, but not all flower species have the same special breeds... only my own speculation though, Nintendo never stated anything about that.

No, your campsite should have its first visitor tomorrow ; you'll have to invite him and then after that you'll be able to invite villagers from mystery islands or from other players

The first villager that comes to your campsite will be a smug and you HAVE to move them in, you have no choice.

After you invite the first villager you will unlock "Sell a plot" which will allow you to go to mystery islands and invite villagers.
