hi, technical question - I bought the physical copy of the game near release time but stopped playing not too long after - my mom "borrowed" the card and has since made much progress. I wanted to start playing again, and I'm aware that by using that same card in my own Switch, I have my old town. However, since it's been so long I wanted to start over fresh, but I'm reluctant to delete the save data I have. Is there a way (maybe through buying a card of my own, which i might do anyway) for me to have a new save file, without deleting my old save file or my mom's progress?

You can use fish bait to get more fish spawning, but I also have a big lake that only spawns one fish at a time, and I’m unsure if you can spawn multiple in there at once

The island progress is tied to the Switch itself--buying a new game card will have no impact on either your island or your mom's (if your mom has her own Switch). The only way to start an entire new island without deleting either one would be to buy a whole new Switch

thats purely dependent on either yours or your friends connection, both of you should check your NAT type, you can do so by going to system settings -> internet -> test connection and then look at the NAT type. A is optimal, B is minimum, C or D are bad connections and often cause issues.
if either of you have a NAT type below B, you'll have to fix your WIFI. Resetting the router or console is usually good enough

hey so i did the tree glitch on a slumber island but without thinking i removed all of the cliff except for the one tile which the bamboo was on. i should not have done this because now i cant build any cliff back to get up to remove it. in the base game you could use the rescue service to clean it up but it doesn't work on a slumber island. my game auto saved like this. does anyone know of a potential solution to get rid of it or would i have to delete the entire slumber island? i've built quite a lot on this one so it would be a shame to delete it if i don't need to

You can't find the exact dates, but you can find the order in which they moved in using your map app: when checking the houses listed in the right side, the villagers are listed from the oldest in the top-left, to the newest in the bottom right (filling a column first then moving to the next column)

(supposing that you didn't time travel, which throws off the order registered by the map)

i'm a little concerned my save file is bugged and i just wondered if anyone else has experienced this before? a couple days ago i had robin move out, and visited someone and asked teddy to move in. he said yes but there was no move in annoucement the next day, and the plot showed as sold to zucker. now when i talk to tom nook about moving my villagers houses, zucker doesnt even show up as an option. he shows up in my map as a villager that lives on my island, but not when talking to tom nook about the island infrastructure. i've had other villagers move in since zucker so he's not the last villager to move in

They will have a thought bubble and the bag they are holding will have your native fruit on it, their outfit will not be the one on the mannequins at the hotel as that's what tourists wear when they have a room. You unlock the ability to have tourists who need rooms after you have completed the VIP room.

• Why? — Your goal is to make a profit. That means you want to buy at a low price & sell at a higher price.

• What's a "low" price? — Daisy Mae's prices range from 90 to 110 bells per turnip, so a price in the 90s is on the lower side.

• What's a "high" price? — Timmy & Tommy will buy at prices ranging from 9 to 660 bells per turnip. Yes, this means you can LOSE money. Anything 350+ is pretty high, but you can still profit with lower numbers as long as it's higher than what you paid.

• How many should I buy? — As many as you want (limited by how many you can afford & carry), but I recommend buying just a few at first if you don't fully understand how it works yet.

• Where do I put them? — Turnips CANNOT be stored in your home inventory. You can put them on the floor in your house, on the ground outside, or bury them. You can stack them into "bundles" to save space.

The steps should be:

1. Open the game with your main Switch profile, the one that is currently linked to the unwanted new player.
2. On the title screen, use the minus button to open the settings. Navigate to "Save data", then "Delete resident registration". After asking for confirmation a couple times, this will delete that unwanted new account. The game will then immediately start the new character creation sequence again, with the Nooklings advertising the Deserted Island Gateway Package and asking you questions and whatnot. Instead of answering to their questions, close the game using the Home button and X button.
3. Open the game using your main Switch profile again.
4. The game should now show you the exact same screen as what you posted above. Follow the dialogue, and say to use "Existing data", then select the icon of the player that you originally played. It will finally ask "Do you want to play as [your old player's name]?". If that's the correct name, then say Yes, and you should be all done!

And if everything is all good, you can also delete the additional Switch profile that I made you create to test earlier (console settings, users, select the test profile, then click the option to delete it)

If you are referring to when they spawn, you will have one each day with 1000 bells. You can plant 10000 bells back in the hole and will get 30000 bells when full grown. 3 days I think.

You can still use the technique because ita a smaller area and easier to keep up with, if you rly need it for your critterpedia, but if youre trying to get a bunch, your best bet is to nmt hunt for a tarantula island specifically.

You have two sets touching in your picture, you have to space them out so that there's at least three tiles away (breeding can happen from right beside each other to up to three tiles away. Continue the fencing to block the two different hybrids of the same flower from breeding with each other or move them so that there isn't the same flower within three tiles.

hi! with custom designs on normal paths is that if there is even one transparent pixel, the design will conform to the shape of the path, which might make it look a bit off. i found a picture online of someone who has similar looking custom design on default path, and you can kinda see the gap too, so i think it might be unavoidable... ;_;

You could mean treasure islands, and no they’re not hard to find. You could also mean yard sales, which would be under #mysterybags-and-yardsales people tend to have giveaways and stuff a lot, or sell for cheap. Can also try #cataloging if there’s specific stuff you’re looking for, and don’t mind buying from the ABD in Resident Services. Hope that helps!

I personally have it on, on my island, but it does really make things more pricy, so you have to balance that with how much money you have, I'm quite late game (8million bells+ in the bank) and all the upgrades done and paid off. Unfortunately its not an exact science. Only way you can FORCE somebody to move out is if you use an Amiibo to get a villager you DO want to the campsite

Unlike a normal campsite villager, where the one they choose to replace is not up to you.... if its an Amiibo you get to choose who they replace from the campsite

but aside from that, there's no way to control villagers asking to move out

I think I might have been incorrect, I'm not sure that it affects your mortgage, I think it just makes items cost more and things sell for more (and I'd probably have personally waited until my mortgage was paid off only because of the items costing more and wanting more money on hand for the mortgage)

I have the base game, the dlc, and the switch 2 update all on one nintendo account (the account i use for my island on my switch 2). on another account, i have the base game and dlc too (the account i use on my old switch). but for whatever reason when i try to open animal crossing on my switch 2, it tells me 'to play the DLC, load the virtual game card on this system'. it then shows me what accounts i can use to load the virtual game card, but the account with the switch 2 upgrade is greyed out and i have to use the account that i use on my old switch. as a result i cant use the virtual game card on my old switch, and cant play animal crossing at the same time on my old switch's island and my switch 2 island. does anyone have any clue why the switch 2 account is greyed out??
