I will say also @winter granite if you have any Amiibos, you scan those and they come to your campsite. Craft them what they want you to DIY craft for them... for 3 days. On the 3rd day they'll ask to move in. Unlike normal campsite villagers... Amiibos let you pick exactly who they replace

Campers prioritize the personality you are currently missing on your island if you miss one, or the ones you have the least amount of

Flowers are often sold by a sloth named Leif that randomly visits your island. Your shop might sell some too. Other fruits you can find by using Nook Mile Tickets, but the island will only have your island fruit + one other fruit. The remaining fruits are only gotten via other people (which requires Nintendo Online)

You have to invite an Amiibo camper from the terminal in resident services. They'll come to your camp and the items will instanly be in your nook stop in the promotions section. (with the mario items and seasonal stuff)

This is going to be a strange question but I'm smooth brained and I don't understand the save system. I have three Nintendo switches, and a physical copy of ACNH. My save file appears to be on my OG switch, which I did not realize was not saved to the game cart. I plan on going home and using the island transfer tool from OG switch to my switch 2. My question is: if I were to use this cart to make a brand new island on my switch lite, would it affect the save file to be transferred between the other two switches? I am trying to make sure I don't do anything to compromise that island.

The save is linked to the switch, not the profile. Unless you manually transfer, each switch will have an independent island.

Also, I believe for the switch 2 there is a way to transfer without the transfer tool, you just have to make sure not to have an island on the switch 2. Someone here will have more info.
But yes, once its transfered it moves to the other switch, and you have to make a new island on the old switch.

Yes, you are safe to make an island on the Switch Lite and it will not overwrite any other island. If you're setting up a new Switch 2 the island on your OG Switch should auto transfer over! If your Switch 2 is already set up tho you'll need the Island Transfer Tool

This is what I was able to find, but I haven't been able to confirm it, so I suggest giving it a try, and letting me know if it works.
Enter the Room: Go into the hotel room you want to change.
Exit Design: Press the minus button (–) to open the menu and select "Quit."
Confirm: When Leilani asks if you want to quit, choose "Yar, I'm quittin'!" and confirm again.
Restart: Return to the lobby and talk to Leilani; you can then select that room again and pick a new theme, earning more tickets.
I cant find anything saying if you can change something that has been submitted, but everything is worth a shot.

Yep! Time is tracked by passing 5am, not by date, so it will just count it as a pseudo new day. There's some differences between forward and backwards, but anything saved stays. The villager might just need a day forward to move in.

@fallow crescent so I figured out you need to decorate all eight hotel rooms before you can unlock the VIP room in order to invite amiibos to the hotel and the guests stay for one day only. so each day is an opportunity for new animals to check in but they only stay until the day is over.. also there is no way to invite them to live on your island from the hotel unlike the campsite at least from my understanding at this time

There is no way to stop them from roaming around but you can fence off certain areas and use the Mario pipes to funnel them into places you don't mind them being although it kind of sounds like a pain in the butt

Also if anyone is curious once you unlock the VIP room the way to invite the amiibos is to talk to Leilani and it's very similar to adding a campsite villager but you don't need to do it three times it's just a one-time tap on the controller and they will check into a room that is empty. As far as I can tell there is not a way to force out guests who are already occupying other rooms

My mistake. I took another look at the Resort Hotel's Nookipedia page. "The player can also acquire Hotel Tickets by submitting DIY goods that are requested from a drop box in front of the hotel. Once the player has submitted the goods, Kapp'n will deliver them offshore, and this will in turn increase the hotel's brand recognition. After the hotel reaches a certain level of brand recognition, Grams will begin stocking rare items, such as Nintendo consoles, in the souvenir shop."

I have 2 switches, a regular and an OLED. I have an island on each. I wanted to reset the island on my OLED. If I do this through going to settings and deleting ACNH save data, will that reset the data for both islands? Or just the OLED?

If a villager JUST left my island by someone taking them, (The house is there, just empty) and I scan an amiibo and they want to join my island, will it still ask me who I want to remove?

Hey. So any help appreciated as I've scoured Reddit and Nintendo resources and can't get a clear answer.

Timeline

1. Started with AC on Switch 1, with myself as Island rep and the whole family played on it across 4 different accounts
2. Bought daughter a Switch Lite (the ACNH version), we moved her resident off the Switch 1 to the Switch Lite.
3. We now have a Switch 2. I'm deciding whether to move the island using the transfer tool or start fresh. Either case my daughter wants to play the new Switch 2 version but also wants to stay on her old island.

TLDR: Can my daughter's Nintendo profile, be a resident on more than 1 island? She is not a rep on any of them.
