Quick question in regards to villager trades. Highly and lightly gifted refers to how much a player has gifted them right? So is higher or lower better

It depends on your preference! Most people prefer ungifted since that villager’s a blank slate for them, but I personally prefer gifted cuz I enjoy seeing what other people gift their villagers. Generally ungifted tends to be “priced” higher tho

Ive been wanting to get Brewster and kapp'n unlocked and if i read correctly... i need to have at least 10 residents in order to unlock 3 stars, get kk slider concert then start the whole domino right? (Yes i have already met all the museum donation requirements already too!)

That should be correct! You don’t need 10 villagers to unlock three stars, but having more villagers does give you a higher ranking. And easy way to get 3 stars is to cover your island in bloomed flowers and furniture, and then once you’ve unlocked KK you can take it all down and it won’t change that progress

Custom designs does a thing where it connects similar colors that are close to each other, so in this case the lighter greens are getting connected to form that “star” shape because of their proximity

You can do any but rejecting will cause a 5 day cool down where no villager can ask to move out

Harv's island is a place for a photo shoot and if u use it for abit u can get posters of your villagers in ur island! and later on it will upgrade (if u see a rainbow windmill on the side) and u'll see many donations like u can get redd,leif,a turtle guy who can help u put ur stuff in storage at homeand take out,a person who does the crystal ball,the couples which does customizations for a fee of a 1000 bells and send in mail,flick and harv's friend which does hair cuts u can learn from her that's not in ur nook station and to get them, u have to see the groid which is from the donation thing and u can give them 100,000 bells if u want which one to do first if it completes the donation goal it will come tmrw

As long as you stay within the current week then yes you can keep starting a new day and talking to Flick! That’s a really good way to farm NPCs such as Celeste, etc if you don’t come across them that often

I could decorate their houses and change the music myself but I notice not all of K.K. Slider’s songs are registered when designing.
I registered K.K. Ska in my radio but when I go to decorate a villager’s house, K.K. Ska wasn’t on the list of musics despite me already having it registered.

So my only way to try to get a villager with that song is to gift the song itself to them and hope they play it, but I need to know if that’s possible before attempting

I personally haven’t tried Para’s method much (did once just now) but so far it’s faster? Though I’d like to use it for a few more villagers and see the difference.

So far, Yue’s took ~1 hour for Sterling, ~4 for Cherry, and I ended up using the campsite method instead, so 4+, and Yue’s was .05 seconds for Dotty, though I’m sure that’s the exception 😂

@ripe inlet Gifted means they’ve been given items that show up in their house or on them, like clothes, critters, certain items. Lightly means they probably only have a couple of those items, and ungifted means they don’t have any items that interfere with appearances. When you gift a villager fossils or fruits, it doesn’t count as gifting for trades since it doesn’t alter the villager in any way, but still allows you to grow their friendship

So to my knowledge, it’s as if you played that day. So if I tt back 2 days from today (the 3rd), and buy candy, that doesn’t affect today because I bought it 2 days ago.
If you tt to the 22nd, and then back, the 22nd hasn’t happened yet. But the things you did that day, will count, as long as you saved and quit. So if you talked to villagers, or bought stuff from Timmy and Tommy’s place, would count for that day, not today 😄 Hope that helped!

Let's say you have Ace in boxes, the other person need to have a free plot. So they can't use Azalea ecause you can't adopt yet, so they need to move another villager first (the "buffer" villager), and they need to have it gone, with their free plot to adopt Ace.
Once they adopted Ace, they need to put Azalea in boxes , that would require time travel or an amiibo/ camper.
Once Azalea is in boxes, you can come adopt her, with your now empty plot (the day after you moved Ace)

so in short very complicated logistic, and that's why people usually don't do it like this

what's the fastest way to get a 3 star island?? like is there a specific number of flowers or items i should aim for

For me I found the thing that helped most was to get rid of all the weeds on my island. But after that, plant a bunch of flowers and decorate your island with furniture! That’ll help get your ratings up.

Also make sure there’s nothing lying around (garbage, dropped furniture or clothing, rotting turnips, etc) as they can decrease your rating

weeding your island isn't necessary. weeds can't prevent you from getting to 5 stars, if you have less than 100 weeds you'll have the bonus points.
For plants, use trees, shrubs but keep in mind they will only give points when fully grown. as for flower, blooming ones are worth double the newly planted one.
So feel free so plant a bunch and wait. That's where your nature points will come mainly
as for development, your island need to have at least 8 villagers for 3 stars.
To get to three stars you can randomly place any item outside tbh.
Leaving trash will not prevent you from 3 stars. it's only a threshold for 5 stars

Before I’ve spoken with everyone, so we have ok level of friendship. Now, after 2 years, to my surprise no one had the bubble yet. Hi! I have WAY too many trees on my island... what's the minimum number of trees (fruit trees and normal trees) I can have on my island to maximize the benefits? Iirc two random non-fruit trees will give me furniture when I shake them, so could I do something along the lines of 3 sets of 5 trees of different fruits (currently have cherry, orange, and peach), and then the two non-fruit trees that I can shake for furniture?

The two bob fruit trees can also hold wasps ! 5 wasp nests per day, there's also a few trees that drop money. If you do 7 non fruits trees, you can identify the ones with with wasp and ward them, you'll be sure to have something in the other trees.
On another note the max for trees and shrubs before you have too many for the rating is 180 if my memory serves me correctly

It depends on how far you time traveled. If they were not in boxes but agreed to move out and you skipped a day, they’ll be in boxes then. The plot will be empty on the second day after they agree to move out. If you went past two days then the plot may have autofilled at that point

What if I go backwards in time? Oct 5 they’re in boxes, Oct 6 it’s an empty plot. I’ve been continually going back to Oct 6 to keep the plot open and prevent autofill as I wait for a friend’s villager to be in boxes.
I’m wondering if I were to go back to, say, Oct 4th, would the game treat that as day 1 of an empty plot? This is probably an unnecessarily technical question that may or may not actually impact anything but, a question nonetheless lol

I’m not 100% sure how that would work. I would guess it might still be empty if you go back to the 4th since you don’t get Isabelle announcements when time traveling to any previous day, but I’ve never tested this before and haven’t read up much on it personally so I don’t know what would happen in that scenario. I would say just stay on the 6th just to be safe so the plot doesn’t autofill

I can tell you the game will autofill the plot if you move backwards off the day you're currently set to, even if the game doesn't treat it fully as a "new day"

Time traveling does not reverse / rewind progress. You still keep all the progress, items, etc. that you've completed / acquired even if you time travel backwards.

The only way to change your chances of a villager to appear is to have a villager of the same species already
Because the game first chooses a random species, then a random villager from that species

So any octopus villager has the highest chance, but any cat has the lowest

Other than that, there's no influence you can make

Once there too much shells on the beach, star fragments can't wash up, once u pick the shells up and go to a loading zone (like villager home) u should be able to see the star fragments. There can only wash up a certain number of shells + stars. Pretty sure bottles aren't part of that count.

hi ! do you know what’s the faster way to raze to the ground the whole island ?

Move all buildings to the beach, then cut down all trees in areas that you wish to raze down
For removing the terrain, start from the top layer, and I recommend bulldozing it in a "barcode" pattern: remove one row of cliff tiles out of two, therefore making vertical/horizontal 1-tile corridors, as that will save you from all the cliff rounding hits you would need if you removed every row of tiles in their normal order. Once you have only strips of cliffs on that level, remove those, then start removing the next layer
(hopefully this makes sense lol)

Also preferably make vertical corridors as the camera is rather impractical when you are hidden behind cliffs

(I can think of no other advice that is not obvious stuff)

yup, it used to be very complicated to remove the clothing but now complaining to isabelle when they are wearing something you don't like is working, as for the home, if you have the DLC you can reset their home with enough progression

well if they recieved items from the player you get them back from they will have that, if nothing is done, they would stay the same, but remember, it can't be any "Bob" for example, it needs to be the exact one you let go of and took back in from the person that got him

well then no you can really change that character you need to erase it, and all of its possessions (yo can just dump the storage outside to keep everthing) but the house will be gone

to erase a character just go to that profile, press - on the title menu, in the save data and erase the player

if you erase the switch profile for that character, the new profile can just "adopt" the character not change its name

so you need to start a new character from scratch if you want a name change

Idk if this is the place but I have a question? On turnip exchange it shows I have visitors in the queue and someone’s been in it for 5 minutes, but no one’s visited the island. I double checked the dodo code was right. Does it normally take a while or am I doing something wrong

if the queue was long, waybe they are just now getting the money they need and entering the dodo code, if it gets up to 10 minutes you should probably assume they do not wish to come though
