If you invite a villager to photopia on Harv’s island and make them do the “take a picture” reaction, they’ll use the default (initial) phone if you do not have them on your island or the final phone style if you do have them on your island. I’m not sure if there is any other purpose/use of them though

Finally got around to buying a switch for the commute to work. A friend recommended Animal Crossing. What should I expect? What is the game mainly about?

I've played Stardew Valley before on PC if that helps

expect cuteness and cosyness. the main thing about stardew is having limited time for certain taks. ACNH can be similar but days work in real time so you get more time for things.
you can fish and hunt for bugs and get fossils. some bugs and fish and sea creatures are only available at certain times of day/seasons, similar to stardew, but its a relaxed game so if you dont catch something one season, theres no 'punishments' and you can try again next time that season rolls around.
on top of that theres a lot more customisation to your island which would be the equivalent of your farm. you can edit the land (terraforming) and create and entire island thats uniquely yours. unlike stardew where you only get a farm and the rest is set in stone.
as well as that you can (in a sense) choose who you want to be on your island, there may be villagers you find ugly or may not like their personality. something u cant do on stardew. though i wouldnt worry about this in the early game. just get the hang of everything else and you can focus on villagers you want later.

oh and just a heads up, since this was something that slightly annoyed me when i started playing. the first day or two will be slow as youre limited to where you can go and what you can do until you begin to unlock things in the coming days. just dont let that discourage you. when i started playing, for the first two? ish days, all i wanted to do was play but there was nothing more for me to do. but take that time and appreciate it because at some point youll want to do SO MUCH and feel like you dont even know where to begin

Only the one Island Representative account have those options, if other accounts are playing on the same island they have slightly less power and cannot do certain things that only the Island Representative can, including building new bridges

That won't work. There's no way to speed up when villagers want to leave--it's a set cooldown from when the last villager asked to leave. You could use a campsite villager, but that's random if you don't have amiibo

Well it’s not wherever you go, you can’t access it on nook mile islands, Kapp’n islands, other players islands, or in the water but it is really nice when you’re running around on your own island to just have it available to place and use and then pick it back up when you’re done. Storage sheds become available at some point after upgrading your home and storage(I’m not sure of exactly when) in nook mile redemptions through the ABD in residence services.

No, but the design code's maker can display their designs in your Able's shop, and your villagers will wear it randomly

There is no way to make a specific villager wear it though, and you cannot hang a design that you did not make yourself

Hy, i'm trying to get to level 3 for my iland, i've followed many guides but nothing is working. I have 10 villagers, i've put down fences, i've removed all the weeds, there are no items on the floor, i have about thirty TIY items placed, i have tailoring needle thread and nook's shop and i'm planting a but load of flowers. I don't know what to do im going crazy.

Let the flowers grow so they give maximum points! They'll give 4x more points compared to the very first stage of growth. Based on what you said, I counted up that you should have or nearly have all the development points you need, so nature points is probably what is missing. Flowers are the most space efficient way to get them, so they are probably the best choice. But trees, shrubs, crops etc. help all the same 🙂 To get an even better idea of your exact point totals, you can count yourself using the charts on this site if you'd like (feel free to ask if something is unclear): https://chibisnorlax.github.io/acnhfaq/island-dev/rating/
If you seem to be missing development points, just placing down any random furniture you own is a solid way of getting you over the limit

There isn't really one clear answer to that because fish, bug and sea creature spawns all work differently, but Giraffe Stag, Golden Stag and Horned Hercules, all being palm tree bugs with the spawn rate of 1 are definitely up there at the very top

On top of the spawnrate, summer has the most bugs available so there will be more bugs taking up spawn spaces, they have a niche spawning spot and get scared very easily

You can use a non-diggable path (anything but sand or either dirt from island designer), but you gotta cover each and every tile with them. Mannequins like all furniture block the 3x3 area around them, so you can leave 2 tiles between each mannequin. And they can also be removed instantly by editing the custom design they are displaying, which can save time. Many find mannequins more convenient but use whichever one you prefer. Both do the job 👍

They can spawn on palms but they can also spawn on others. A lot of the rare beetles can only spawn on palms but those two in particular can spawn on any tree.

Make sure you’re not holding a net while idling walking around, it aggravates them and they’ll start chasing you.

If you do encounter one take out your net and very slowly walk towards it and stop whenever it raises its tail and pinchers.

Doing this will help you catch a scorpion

what i like to do is travel 15 days into the future and i look for a thought bubble and if its a villager i want to keep i talk to them to see if its an item and if they want to move leave the game and dont save than travel to the next day and just keep doing it until the villager u wants, wants to leave

Yes that is correct, the campsite visitor can replace one of your current villgers 🙂 although they will pick one randomly. There is a way to manipulate the choice by closing the game when they tell you who they have chosen, but it can be very tedious.
And just so you know, any of Isabelle's functions have no effect on villagers leaving

Unfortunately there is no super easy trick to it, but generally the best way is to do lots of Nook Miles+ tasks ! They are so quick to do that you'll rack up lots quite quickly. Even just doing the multiplier ones every day goes a long way

If you have HHP, you could TT day by day and run through the HHP island each day until you (hopefully) see Shep on the beach or in one of the buildings. This would be by far the easiest way to confirm he is available (or potentially in the MIQ). You'll see ~15 villagers each day and it doesn't cost anything to check the island daily. If you keep a checklist of all the villagers you see (+ the ones you have made a home for), you can also eventually determine the specific villagers in your MIQ, if it would have to go that far. But just seeing Shep on the island would confirm that he is not in your MIQ, which is the statistically way more likely option!

You have been watering them daily? All flowers can produce offspring except for gold roses. If you water them, they have a 5% chance to make offspring overnight

Also, if you just want more purples, you should place each flower all by itself, with the 8 surrounding tiles empty of flowers of the same species ^^ this way they will always produce an exact copy of themselves; if you have multiple next to each other, they will breed instead, which can create other colours

No, you should! Nook's inventory is a little funny in that it resets on Mondays iirc. So if you buy something, tt forward, then tt back without going to a Monday the stock doesn't change. If you did pass through a new Monday then I might have misremembered something, but you should still get new fossils

people arent able to terraform or place items on your island in gen. People are set to default "perms" as they cannot use their shovel or axe on your island but will be able to pick up things up or pick flowers/weeds, shake trees, dive into your ocean, fish, catch bugs, shop. You can allow others to use a shovel or axe by best friending them in the game. but there are no perms you can prevent others to pick up objects on your island unless you fence it off

also you wont be able to place items on your island when you have someone on your island.

They are really sensitive! You should keep an eye on whether it is moving a little or completely still; if you are inching towards it and it gets fully still, don't go any closer until it starts moving again

You'll need to give them a gift worth 750 or more bells and be a certain level of friendship with them! The chance maxes out at roughly 10%, so it can take a while

basically, if you're looking for a villager, you must have a plot open and ready. it takes 2 days for the plot to autofill, so i'd recommend trading for the villager on the same day a plot is open. the villager you are trading for will be in boxes on the other player's island. all you do is go inside and talk to them until you can propose the idea of them moving to your island. and pay depends on the trade and person

I was going to work like usual and I got the message "To play the content past this point, you must have the paid downloadable content for this software, Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise" I checked on the Nintendo switch online settings on the switch and it says it's downloaded and the button to redownlaod is gray since I already have it. Anyone got any tips for getting tree bugs to spawn?

I’ve been walking along my beaches for two hours now, passing all my palm trees looking for golden stag and barely seem to be getting any bugs to spawn on them at all, let alone the rare ones

i went to a bamboo island and brought my own palm trees there to catch the rare beetles and stags at midnight in game time

If you care only about the airport placement, yes there are only two possibilities, so if you are looking for one of the 4 layouts that permit perfect alignement with the resident services plaza, it's either perfectly aligned or clearly misaligned (one map acre over)

If you mean inviting villagers from an island you visit with Nook Miles Tickets, you'll need a completely empty plot if you have 6 or more villagers. How many villagers do you have?
