you can use amiibo for the 7th villager afaik, yes! Just be aware that you must scan an amiibo on 3 separate days and craft the item for the villager each day in order for them to agree to move in. So don't place your plot until that third day, otherwise it can autofill

Pretty much, yes. The items sold in your shops will be random, so you would just need to keep checking. Depending on the item, it may be something that could appear in Nook Shopping as well, so that's another place you can be checking too

I don’t think it does anything if you are looking in a specific category of storage that doesn’t have different types (such as types of clothing items or items on the main everything tab). But if it does have categories, then pressing down on the right stick will sort the items and jump to the next one

There should be two lists you can view: one for interior items and one for exterior items. The interior items need to be put in the box. The exterior items need to be placed outside, but within the plot’s designated area iirc. Try placing them close to the plot and then check what the box says?

Leif will only do the weeding service in your island if you have 300 weeds or more. Remember the beginning stage when your island was full of weeds. That’s the only time he can do it. Unless you plant more than 300 and ask him for that service

When you're not looking, villagers can teleport to whatever space their house or the Resident Services plaza is connected to, that's why they escape. And that is absolutely not a way that will get them to move out, and bullying them won't either.

If you have the DLC, there’s an option you can unlock that allows you redesign your villagers’ homes and to have Isabelle re-set their home to its default style. It works on starter villagers as well, and will “reset” the starter home to be the villager’s default one instead.
Unfortunately, if you don’t have the DLC, there’s no way to do it. Other than to kick them out and try to re-invite them later

I would fill the empty plot from the first villager with a desired villager first. After they’re fully moved in you can either go back to real time, open the game and then rinse and repeat or just jump ahead a whole month from the day you’re on now

Hey all, quick question, is there any way to try to encourage able sisters to stock stuff from the 2.0 update more? I desperately want the round frame glasses, and so far I've been only getting the glasses that were available at launch. • Make sure you have at least 8 villagers. 10 villagers more points
• Put out lots of different furniture.
• Put out a lot of flowers. Put out way more than you think you need.
• Try to build the shops (upgraded nook’s gives extra points) bridges and inclines where you can, it'll help a lot with development points.
•** LISTEN TO ISABELLE! **If she talks about development or scenery, you need more development points (furniture, diy items, infrastructure, etc.) If she talks about the island's natural environment, you need more nature points (flowers, trees, shrubs, etc.). If she mentions clutter, you have to pick up all the dropped items on the ground.

A quick way is to place a bunch of custom-designed mannequins, they count as furniture and you can place as many as you want until you reach 3 stars. Once KK comes you can replace / delete the design, and all the mannequins will disappear by themselves

One thing I was interested in is it completely random if a villager spawns on a Nmt island? Sometimes they appear but sometimes they don't, I just found it weird since some people have nmt ticket streaks where they post a new villager they find on an island every ticket.

Apart from the golden watering can enabling you to create golden roses, no, they just have higher durability

I'm not aware of any way to force lost items to spawn...
When they're newly spawned they can't be dropped after being picked up, however if you wait a day they become "What was this again?" and you can drop them like a normal item, which if I'm not mistaken makes them tradable

The trading place to look for such items in the server should be #materials-and-tools

You can open your airport gates, this disables a handful of the game's features, including random visitors in your house

The intended way is to slowly swim above them using just the joystick, without pressing A ; they move slowly when you do that. Then dive when you're perfectly above them
...but it's so hard, everyone just chases them until they have no more space to flee at the corner of the map

afaik there’s no way to download the designs directly without having NSO. There are some resources online that you can toggle between NL and NH grids! I’m not super familiar with them myself, but something like that may be helpful for you!

If you’re the leader, you can pick up items like normal and they stay in your pocket just like the normally would. It’s only the items from non-leader players. So you need to switch to make the player leader before picking up anything you want to be able to use/see in the inventory immediately

witho or without amiibos. basically a campers comes in and you talk to him, play with him and he will ask you to make him a souvenir. when u gave it to him and keep talking to him he will eventually says "i'd like to move in" with amibo is the same but you have to do it 3 days in a row with the same amiibo

Unfortunately the only way to check which fossils are missing is to walk through the museum to see. You can use your catalog to see all fossils you’ve held, but that doesn’t mean you donated them. So unless you know you have donated every new fossil you’ve picked up, then it’s not super helpful

So the first stand is one missing fossil, and the stand next to it will fill in automatically with a glass display once you donate that one missing fossil. Thank you, that's what I thought it was. So, how do people protect themselves when they have cataloging parties? I have so much stuff and would love to host something like that but how do I keep people from just walking off with my stuff?

A popular method would be to try to corral the items into a specific area, and block it off so that there is only one small entry into and out of the cataloging area (fencing are a good option). If you block it off with only a one or two tile gap, you could place a stool or something in that gap so that players have to sit and swivel in/out. It just slows down the process so that if it looks like something is about to go wrong you can just close your game to kick them out

for me the connotation of cataloging implies that they are adding things to their catalog which they can place an order for on their own island. In the unlikely event they absconded with your item(s) they would still be orderable from your own catalog. not ideal but not unrecoverable.

With the new 2.0 update redd can show up as soon as you got your museum built. 15 donations done. The 60 donations requirement was pre 2.0 and also he will show up with all 4 real arts for the first time. You can let people buy from him
