For personal/character inventory, there are two upgrades you can redeem from the NookStop machine, which will put your inventory slots to 40
There's also the house storage, which increases with each house upgrade, and which can be further increased once all loans have been paid, up to a max of 5,000 slots

Yes, but IIRC, they'll first try to give you items you haven't catalogued yet ; if you have all of their items catalogued, they should give you a random one

Anything worth 750 bells or more (easiest being two non-native fruits or three crops in wrapping paper) is enough to get a chance at the photo once the villager is at a high enough friendship, while still increasing the friendship ; and from my experience, I tend to get the photo after 40 days on average

If you mean players, then yes players can visit other people's designs through the Happy Home Network, though not meet each other. If you mean villagers, the vacation home owners don't randomly get visitors, but through amiibo cards you can summon visitors to their home

My question is, if someone was offering to trade the villager I want, and I travel to their island to ask the villager to move to my island. Would that then force me to time travel to the real world date and get a random villager instead of an empty spot?

So I have a character I am playing as on my island that's not the island rep. And I'm trying really hard to unlock the ability to cook for her. My resident services is upgraded, I have a four-star island rating, KK has performed at least 5 times, and she has completed all the workshops. And yet, the option to purchase cooking in the nook stop is still not appearing. She even has custom designer plus as well as cliffs, river, and path permits.

What should I be doing wrong? What am I missing?

for your first question- as long as 3rd player has the item in their pocket for any amount of time it will be cataloged for them. they can pick it up and drop it again right away and it will be logged away.

Those are indeed housing plots, but as you can see, there's a "Sold" sticker on it meaning it is already claimed by a villager (you can check who by pressing A in front of the sign)
Also, since those seems to be from the early game three plots quest, you could have visited mystery island before finishing to find and invite up to three villagers

You can only invite them from mystery islands if you have nook miles tickets. If you want to hunt for them. Do not submit the furniture items for the plots. Go to mystery islands first and you’ll find villagers there until you invite 3 of them. You can invite all 3 in the same day

Wondering if the same day will always be the same in terms of what's in the store etc. If i time travel two days forward, and then buy something from nooks cranny or whatever, then i go back to real time after, and then forward two days again, will the shop have the same items as when i was there first time? (hope this makes sense lol)

Will NPC's arrive on the same day etc?

It can vary, but the minimum is at least 15 days after the most recent one moved out

• Axe - Learn DIY by breaking 100 axes (any kind).
• Net - Mailed by the Farway Museum after you catch all bugs.
• Rod - Mailed by the Farway Museum after you catch all fish.
• Shovel - Mailed by Gulliver after completing his mission (not Gullivarrr's) 30 times.
• Slingshot - Shoot down the golden balloon (appears after you've hit 300 balloons). If you miss the golden balloon, it will reappear later.
• Wand - DIY card, randomly gifted by Celeste, same as any wand DIY.
• Watering Can - DIY sent by Isabelle to NookPhone after you achieve the 5-star island rating.

Yes, everything should remain the same, as long as you stay within the current week. It you time travel past the current week, then go back to real time, they would not be the same iirc

Aha ok i see! And if i take fossils from the future, will they then not appear again when i go back to said future? Or will the next day still act as a "new day" regardless of if i've been there before or not? Incredibly hard to explain haha

You wouldn't get new ones for the current day once you go back to real time. But every new day after that would still act as a new day and all your resources would respawn, including new fossils!

You need to wait a day for they and their house to be gone and replaced by an empty plot to be able to find and invite a villager on mystery islands

You can plant fully grown trees in grass or dirt - you’ll need to eat some fruit or other food items to dig them up, and they need at least 1 space between them in all directions

Just keep hitting rocks. If you dig holes behind you it’ll help you not move back during the rebound while hitting rocks

You can TT to reset your rocks while grinding if you want

• Make sure you have at least 8 villagers. 10 villagers are the max and will give you more points
• Put out lots of different furniture.
• Put out a lot of flowers. Put out way more than you think you need.
• Try to build the shops (upgraded nook’s gives extra points) bridges and inclines where you can, it'll help a lot with development points.
• Listen to Isabelle! If she talks about development or scenery, you need more development points (furniture, diy items, infrastructure, etc.) If she talks about the island's natural environment, you need more nature points (flowers, trees, shrubs, etc.). If she mentions clutter, you have to pick up all the dropped items on the ground.

• You unlock K.K. Slider concerts and the Island Designer app (terraforming) once you achieve your first 3-star rating.
• You obtain the Golden Watering Can DIY once you achieve your first 5-star rating. Also, lilies-of-the-valley can spawn as long as your island keeps its 5-star rating!

•• How do I get a 3- or 5-star rating? ••
• The basic idea is to fill your island with plants and furniture, as Isabelle usually suggests. So if she says to add flowers, do it - or at least, wait for them to be fully bloomed (to get the max points from them) ; Same thing if she hints at adding furniture.

Time traveling does not reverse / rewind progress. You still keep all the progress, items, etc. that you've completed / acquired even if you time travel backwards.
