Where, and when you buy them does not matter. If a new turnip week comes in (Sunday) and you have turnips around, they will rot, no matter what.

The privillege of choice comes with Amiibo. If not, you need to visit mystery islands when you have an empty plot and "hunt" for your desired villager.

There is always a choice of getting villagers from other players that are moving out, to ask them to move in.

Isolate the flower like in the graph and water it, it works like breeding but you will get an exact clone of the parent flower instead of a new genotype

Just bad luck; their appearance is solely luck based and there can sometimes be periods where you won't just happen to get any there's nothing that would completely block bubble spawns aside from event days, but those only block them for a single day very occasionally.

Yes, the first camper will always be a smug, he will appear the day after the camping is built.
• Do I need an empty plot for campers after the first camper?
If you don't have 10 villagers yet you need to place a plot for the camper to be able to move in.
If you already have 10 the camper will replace a random villager, that will immediately be in boxes once you've agreed.

Ones that are customizable with a customization kit will be highlight with a kit icon on their site and nook items can be customized via on harvs island by Cyrus.
But almost all craftable items (except golden and few others) are customizable with kits.
Nooks items are customizable to their other variations on harvs (unless they don’t have other variations)

1. Sunday - you buy from an NPC, called Daisy Mae, who will roam the island from 5am - 12pm.
2. Monday onwards, till Saturday - you can buy from other islands (if their island is set to a Sunday).

The concept of the turnips is buy low, sell high.

You sell the turnips at Nook's Cranny from Monday > Saturday.

Hello all -- does anyone know the current (2.0 Update) rules for NPC visits?

Everything I can find online is from pre-2.0, and says that NPCs who don't visit during a week have a 100% chance of visiting the following week -- but that is just not true. I've been tracking my NPC visits for about a month, and I haven't had Saharah either of the last two weeks, and no Leif for the last three weeks. I'm okay with that, since they aren't my favorites, but it clearly proves the "100% to visit the following week" thing wrong... anyone have updated info?

shrugs I do not play the game anymore so I cannot comment further. But I can confidently say since 1.3, there was no changes to NPC behaviour because this part of the logic in the game code has not changed since it was unearthed.

Though the fact that Label appears every Friday for you is a bit odd.

The datamining scene for the game is also, relatively dead - no active work is being done for quite a while already, so you're out of luck in that department unless you do it yourself.

Nobody can offer you advice otherwise, I'm afraid. Just keep on keeping on I guess.

Hi so I just restarted and I haven’t played acnh since 2020. I just got to the part where I lay down 3 plots and have to have 3 interior and 3 exterior to get a random villager to move in. Can I reset before I place the last one needed every time and it’ll be a different random villager? (I know it goes lasy then normal for plots 1&2 and I know the third one is set) but I’m just thinking. My first one was Lucky, one of my dreams so I didn’t have to. I’m wondering if it’ll be a different one every time as long as it doesn’t auto save when I check to see who it is

Correct, the first 5 will have starter homes instead of their default interiors. If you have HHP there is a way to reset it, but otherwise yeah you wouldn’t be able to change it

Is there away to stop fossils and gyroids from spawning on your island?

For fossils, you can bury 6 unassessed fossils somewhere on your island, which will stop any more from spawning. (I have mine buried behind my Nooks Cranny so they aren’t visible). Unfortunately this doesn’t work for gyroids afaik, as those can spawn after any rainy day

What I’ve done (that may be a bit time consuming though- so take with a grain of salt) is use custom paths. Most of my island is covered in custom brick and furniture and flowers anyway but I still had some areas with diggable paths. So I just put a transparent custom design over those diggable areas to prevent anything from spawning

I did that but instead of paths I’m filling up the grass areas with flowers and stuff but i did make some dirt paths so that’s where they are spawning on

And i would do the blank custom path thing but i like hearing the dirt sound when walking lol

I had one I didn't want as a starter and her plot was empty for a bit by time travelling, so I assume that the cooldown does exist, but if it's your first 5, it shouldn't refill the immediate next day.
You can search islands and adopt villagers to replace the villagers on the plot, but it's important to note that you can only do so after you move in your first campsite villager.

Tl;dr > They can be replaced normally as long as you have your first campsite villager.

No it will not. In nintendos updated (idk how recent) normally you aren’t able to fly back to your island with the diy. But the learning hacked diys does not “infect” your game unless it’s the bridge kit diy which doesn’t exist (it has an actual name but I don’t remember it). It just means that you won’t receive that diy in the game if you shoot down 300 balloons

I think you have to download the island transfer tool app and manually move the island to a new switch. Not sure how it works on a new cartridge with the same switch. I bought a used switch that had some animal crossing screenshots saved, and when I put in my new cartridge, it didn't say anything about the previous game, if that means anything.

You can time travel and that won’t change the outcome, they’ll leave regardless you will just speed up the process! Just keep in mind if you go past more than 2 days in time the plot will autofill if you have anyone in your move-in queue (if you don’t then each day you pass raises your chances of it autofilling), so it’s best to wait to jump back to current time until you filled the plot if you want to avoid it autofilling ^^

Sorry I should’ve clarified: you don’t have to wait 30 days for town hall to be built, that’s the requirement to upgrade Nooks cranny! All you need to do to get Resident Services upgraded is to fully move in villagers 3-5 for the 3 plots quest where you use NMTs for the first time so that isn’t dependent on time, unless you’re trying to hunt for NMT villagers that you want and it takes a while!

For flowers, they give more points when bloomed, but still give points regardless ; for trees, they only give points once they are fully grown

If you’re using turnip exchange then it should give you the hosts dodo code for you to use afaik. I’m not too familiar with the website myself, but that’s how it’s supposed to work from what I remember

You would have to make sure there’s no valid spaces for them to spawn. Branches can’t spawn/fall next to trees if there’s items such as flowers, furniture, etc surrounding the tree. Fossils and rocks can’t spawn if there’s no room for them to grow on your island. You can try covering the ground around your island with flowers, weeds, custom designs, paths, etc to stop them from spawning. I hope this helps

I thought there was like a max amount allowed to be on your island or something? I’m 90% sure more than 15 branches can’t spawn and I’ve heard that there’s a similar thing with fossils and maybe stones but idk what they would be

You can only have 6 rocks to mine materials from on your island, if that’s what you’re referring to. If you mean the stone material that can sometimes spawn next to one of the rocks on your island, then it’s only one that can spawn per day afaik. There can be up to 10 fossils that can spawn in total on your island over a couple of days, no more can appear after that. I believe you’re right about the branches but I would have to double-check that since I can’t remember off the top of my head atm ^^

Generally speaking, your best bet is to put a bunch of garbage items in one place near a building you can enter and exit! It can take a while for the fly to spawn, just as a heads-up

If you mean the exterior of their house then yes! Once you've finished the 30 homes in HHP you can customize villagers' homes on your island!
