You always have to gift them something for the chance. But yes you can get that chance each day until they give you one. Then there is a certain number of gifts you have to give 10-day cooldown before you can have the chance for a second, third, etc

There's not really any trick to it. It just becomes roaming your beach or throwing in fish bait and trying to catch very large shadows

It can be hard to tell the difference in those two sizes, they are very similar! And coelacanth has a lower spawn rate, so you’re not going to see a ton of those the way you do with sea bass or olive flounder. Just keep at it, and you’ll eventually find one

The red one should work but to be 100% you need to keep them by pairs, no trio. Most likely what happened is that the blue one is a clone of one you have

Trio when you are going for a native color hybrid is a high source of mistake be sure to remove one of the blue

I believe you need to have buried at least one gyroid fragment and water it to grow your own full gyroid before any will start spawning after rain.

Because seed red (200) and seed white (001) can make (100) red, and (101) reds, both of which can make whites.

I started playing fairly recently and because I was too excited to get my game started I missed a very important detail: the username.
I regret it because I didn't realise it would be how my character would be referred to during gameplay (it's my first console so I assumed it was customisable just like the character) even though I understood the island/village name could not be changed (and that one was well thought of and I absolutely adore).

If I were to create a second account, could I transfer my island to that one account?

anything that they will have in their inventory. i think only fruits and fossils don't count. you can tell if they have furniture in their home that isnt default or are wearing random clothing items. also, if they have a wardrobe or similar in their home you can open it and see some of their inventory to tell

The rating updates in real time, so you’ll see any changes immediately. Note that flower stems only count for a fraction of a point, whereas fully bloomed flowers are a full point each.

It’s only guaranteed to stay empty for the first day. After that, there’s a chance for it to autofill

have weather seeds changed since meteonook was last updated? i have tried to get mine about a dozen times now, and i want to know if its my human error or if its just changed. i have only seen shooting stars and celeste once, didnt even get to get the star fragments because i was time travelling and didnt understand they wouldnt be there after the very next day :(

The only changes since meteonook was last updated were a few special weather events like special clouds.
The rule of thumb is to keep the information as simple as you can. If you aren't sure, better not to input anything.
If you know the date were the meteor shower was, you could TT there and input the stars. It's usually faster that way

You will have to upgrade your tent to a house, otherwise you cannot progress in the game. The beginning days follow a set timeline, and new quests can’t be unlocked without completing the current one. I believe you’d be stuck on what is essentially day 1-2 of the game

If you’re not getting any bubbles at all, you might want to try resyncing to real time > speak to all your villagers (just to be sure) > start the tt method over from the beginning. Other than that, it’s just up to luck

I believe the "?" option means just you're not sure, so no data, meaning it won't take that day into calculations. It's safer to put in that one than to guess, as a wrong guess could mess up the whole thing, but inputting "no data" will just result into you needing data on more days than you'd otherwise do. But like I said, I think just choosing the general cloudy option should still be fine on any day with regular white clouds

There’s not really a set rule against it, but villager-to-villager trades are generally discouraged since they are high risk for scams (apologies if this pinged you, I think I forgot to turn it off! )

So you wouldn’t get in trouble for it. Just make sure you know what you’re getting into and be sure to communicate with the other person about how you both want to go about a trade like that

You pick up an item and then drop it again (i.e. you don't keep it for yourself). For most items, you will then be able to reorder it through Nook Shopping (Sanrio items, Saharah wallpaper/flooring, Gulliver/Gullivarrr, Seasonal Nook Shopping items are some of the things you cannot reorder)

You can't do a online coop. You can visit each other but one switch=one island so you can't have the same island on two switches.
For couch co-op, you can play both at the same time once you created your characters but the one that logged on first and named the island has more right that the other players and only they can progress the story

Essentially, just block every spawn space except the ones you want the rocks at. You may have hidden/muted it by accident. It takes a bit of fiddling in the Discord server settings to check if you've hidden muted channels. Alternatively, if you click on the 'Channels and Roles' link at the top left of the server, it usually shows you a bunch of the channels that you can select/unselect to view

I have a question about using Amiibos. So, I'm not sure who I want my final villagers to be yet and I have been testing out some different ones on my island. If I use an amiibo to move in a new villager and then later use an amiibo to move a villager I previously had back to my island, do they remember? I know they remember if you invite them for coffee, but not sure if moving on/off island is the same thing.

They won't remember, no. It would be like inviting a 'fresh' or new version of that villager

Yep. If they are adopted by someone to their island, then they can remember but if you're just moving them in/out and they're sent into the void, then inviting them again is like starting all over

Guess that could be useful if you want to start over. Also, I am wondering if there are any real advantages/disadvantages to constantly changing villagers? I have had quite a few of the same villagers for some time now, and I like change sometimes to breathe new life into my island.

Sit on a toilet to get rid of them. If you don’t have a toilet, you could just dig up full-sized trees (which you can just replant) to use the points.

They are random, yes. If you fill the map, you can still invite more without getting rid of anyone. You can have multiple villagers who have the same HHP plot

That would be why then. You can only kick someone out with an amiibo when you've reached 10. At this point, you should be able to purchase plots from Tom Nook and so Raymond would be able to move into one of those, which is why he gives you the 'bad news' speech

It depends on if you want to complete the Museum and/or how desperate you are for Bells. You only need to donate one bug to the Museum so you can always 'place' them around your island in anticipation of donating them (if your Museum isn't built yet) and then sell the rest

Accomplishment, mostly. When you have caught and donated all the bugs to the Museum, you'll be able to unlock a special poster for each type of donation (bug, sea critter, fish, artwork). You'll also be able to walk through the Museum and see the various critters or artworks to make it more interactive and pretty

Yes. Flick buys the bugs, CJ buys the fish

You can also give three bugs or fish to Flick/CJ respectively to obtain a model of that particular critter if you want

(there isn't anyone that will accept sea critters from diving for extra bells or models)

Red Snappers are reasonably common to catch to be able to obtain another to donate to Blathers but the Atlas Moth is trickier so it's probably worth keeping that one until Blathers visits

Could someone please explain the significance of when people say a villager is gifted, slightly gifted or ungifted?

Specifically, do the 3 differ in any way

Gifting means you’ve given villagers items, un gifted means you never did

It's to do with if you have given clothes/furniture to the villager so they are no longer the 'default'

Slighty means usually very little so around 3-5 gifts

Celeste will randomly show up about once a week on nights with the best shooting stars. If you have the group stretching tape thing in front of Resident Services, you can use that to see if she shows up and then track down where she is. The recipes she gives are (mostly) random

If you intend to visit people with celeste to learn zodiac recipes, be aware she give the zodiac corresponding to the current zodiac date on the island she is at. However you cannot learn more than one zodiac per zodiac period. Taurus just started, if you visit someone in pisces date for example, you can't learn another zodiac recipe from her until you are past the current zodiac. If you are in taurus you need to wait until may 21s, on your island, to change period and be able to learn a zodiac from her again

2. Dive and catch sea creatures to sell back to Nook's Cranny.

You can build a home for every villager! You basically have multiple villagers at each plot, it’s just that only one will show on the map. But when you want to visit anyone and you choose the plot on the map, Niko will give you the option to visit anyone who you’ve built a home for there.

I am at my wits end can anyone explain to me why my final rock won’t spawn in this area? I only have 3 rocks per quadrant. I have tried removing all the path tiles around the spot I want it and it will spawn in and of the top 3 path tiles but won’t spawn in the one below it even though that would put that quadrant at 4 rocks per tile

If it's only three spaces, then you're being blocked by the cliff just like that pic ^ shows. The rock would spawn at space 5 from the cliff

It was the campsite btw, I don't think it blocks more than the very edge if the rock is on top of the cliff. This pic would be right if the rock was on the ground level, behind some cliffs, like the image suggests
