Having shooting stars doesn’t necessarily guarantee that she’ll be visiting, but the opposite applies: if you DO have Celeste on your island then you will have shooting stars that evening. Like, when decorating? No, but they can be sorted in alphabetical order (or are like that by default, can't remember 100%), so you can look for your desired item using the first couple letters of its name if that makes sense

I’d say visit the cataloging channel on this server, there’s usually always someone available to help you. Also go to many nook miles islands, there’s a one guaranteed item drop from shaking a tree on everyone island. And there is two item drops guaranteed everyday on your own island. Hope this helps! 🥰

if you keep failing to see 5ish villagers then they're probably in your miq

also depends on the species, if its a cat (for example) then it could be harder to find the one you want because there's a lot of cats

You can customize it to other colors later on, unless it's clothes you might want to catalogue each variant

(later in requires 3 stars and having unlocked harv's plaza)

Before you hit three stars, you would have to buy or trade the different colours. You can also customise at a workbench. Clothes you HAVE to buy separately.
Once you’ve got 3 stars, you can unlock Harv’s Plaza on his island and you can find Reese and Cyrus. Reese and Cyrus can help you change pretty much all of your items colour-wise. Hope that helps 🥰

That decision is up to you! Like you said, it’s purely for storage; if you find yourself always running low then I would definitely recommend getting that upgrade - it expands it by 800 slots! These are all the remaining upgrades you can do, all purely storage, if you ever need to expand!

I’m not sure if you’re aware but there’s a little trick to farming balloons, if you know when the balloons are going to spawn and knowing which side of your island to look for them on! I would definitely recommend doing this; I did this for the whole 10 days back in 2020 and it took me the entire time to get all of them, but I did it! 🌸

Oh the reason for that is that the Switch you're using is not set as the primary console of the Nintendo account that bought the game. That's possible: the first time the camper mentions who they want to replace, and it's not who you want, force-close the game, then relaunch it and retry
But note that if you let the camper finish their replacement proposal dialogue and you told them no, it's more than likely that the game saved their choice and you're stuck with it

How do turnips work? Can I put them on the ground or in my house? Can I time travel but not to the next Sunday? (any day before)

The basic premise of turnips is by low, sell high. You can buy between 90-110 each from Daisy Mae, and they can sell for up to 660 (although that's very rare). You can place them wherever you want but outside will count them as 'dropped items' which can reduce your island rating from Isabelle (if you're at the point of trying to get to 3 or 5 stars, this can be a hassle).You can time travel forwards (but not past the next Sunday) but any time travel backwards, even by a minute, and they'll spoil

To add onto what Kami said, the price for which you sell turnips change each day twice, they have a price before 12pm, and then keep the new one for the rest of the day
They can be really low most of the time though, so it's a good idea to check if other people you know or people in discord have a better price for them and if you can sell them in their island (that said, this is only if you wanna have more options for selling)
Also spoiled turnips are basically worthless

this one, you will lose any progress by the amount you sell, so if you get to -999 million for example it'll take you that amount to sell to get back up

Either just type their names and colour variants, or there are apps that allow you to combine multiple images into one, you can also use one of those if you wish
