I have a question! I recently got myself my own switch, and I wanted to transfer my character (non-resident representative) onto my new island.

A lot of guides that I've read say that it transfers "most" of your items in your house/inventory which tells me that some things don't get transferred. But none of them tell me what specifically won't get transferred! Does anyone know what actually comes over with you?

I think they mean transferring the character in-game, not the switch user profile, as that's possible as well

I'm not sure what items won't come with you, maybe it's referring to things such as partition walls etc. that are fully locked behind the DLC? Depends on how old the guides you're reading are

If you’re moving your player to a brand new island, you’ll start out in a tent and will have to follow the initial beginner’s progress of the game. But once you’ve completed that, your home (with all its storage and upgrades) should be there. Afaik bells also transfer. It’s just that your island itself is brand new and you’d have to re-do any museum progress. Pretty sure the critterpedia transfers, but it’s a new museum so you’d need to donate things again, if that makes sense

And then if you go back in time, and then forward to the day that a villager wanted to move out I believe that it will reset what villager it was

👉👈 I just wanted to see what everyone else's experiences are? I have Cherry, she was one of my starter villagers. I befriended her cause she was always walking around and interacting with me. Once I got the 3 new villagers moved in, she literally never leaves her house. Like.. ever. I'll log in multiple times a day at different times and she is always in her house crafting now. I don't mind the free recipes from her, but I'd love to see her walking around again. Does anyone else have Cherry? I'm not sure if she's just a hermit or if there's something I can do to make her come outside more often? I've never played AC before so I dunno anything about the villagers 😭

'the problem doesn' t come from the villager itself, if she is crafting she will do so at most 3h. Sisterly villagers like cherry tend to hang out later at night but you might just be a bit unlucky here

Does the NMT island matter for when I am trying to farm Golden beetles/ other coconut tree beetles? I have cleared all trees/stumps/flowers and even dug holes in the ground of basically all spots except for where i need to walk. But for some reason i kjeep getting butterfly spawns and water bug spawns... RARELY a bug will spawn on the coconut trees. Am i just unlucky 😭

This might help a bit, but a better strategy would be to try going a bit later (after 7pm). You mentioned that you landed on the island at 6:20pm — most of the butterflies and water bugs you’re referring to will stop spawning at 7pm.

It's to do with how many items you may/may not have given a villager, e.g. ungifted means they have not received any furniture/clothing that will get worn or displayed in their home. Some people just like to make the villagers suit their aesthetic and prefer ungifted

They can be spawn all times of day, on flowers. You can try to enter/exit a building to get new spawns, but in general just keep looking! They can be hard to see sometimes, just be sure to walk slowly by any flowers so you don’t scare it away, once you do find one.

Cherry blossom is a season that lasts 10 days. It has several DIY’s you can get. The hardwood trees also turn pink and you can catch the petals in the air to use for the DIY’s.

Another way is to have a shrub there - only you and best friends are able to use shovels on your island, so if none of the contestants are set as your best friends only you can remove the shrub and replant it when you need to get through/let someone through

It can be very tough to see the difference as it definitely is very slight. I'm pretty sure 6 is overall a hint larger than 5 though. There isn't any other trick to it sadly, at least to me the reeling vibration is noticeably stronger on 6s, but that's something you can't feel before catching the fish so it isn't very helpful for time efficiency when baiting, which I assume is the reason you're asking this

That’s def a lot of bait used. I’m not sure if going to a mystery island would benefit you, as with bugs the benefit is being able to limit other bugs’ spawn spaces to allow more spawns in the spots where your desired bug can spawn, but with fish you first of all can’t limit spawn spaces, and secondly you can force a spawn with bait anyways. So at least as far as I know, there isnt really any benefit with fish. Also, again, just to make sure - you are in the correct month and time, right, as napoleonfish isn’t available in the current IRL month?

I am at 4 stars but am un no hurry. 3 years ago I had 5 stars on a separate account. Things that might help are to buy a few of those giant 4- pronged beach protection concrete things, someone calculated they gave best starpoints per bell. Also, put a lighthouse on every possibke rock outcrop in the sea. Place lots of outdoor furniture, maybe themed. (I made a funfair with popcorn, candy, drinks machines nearby, which took me from 3 to 4 stars) Other stuff I am planning are a carpark with the van, car, and boat in it, plus a nearby petrol station, a kiddies playground, a music area like the Hollywood bowl, stuff like that. Cramming the island with stuff bought at resident services will probably do the trick

I have someone that I’m selling Maple to and tomorrow another villager will put Maple into boxes via amiibo. I know that when my Maple is in boxes, they can come and invite her to their island.
My question is if the person I’m selling Maple to can also have a villager in boxes and then still come to my island and invite Maple to live on theirs even though they technically don’t have an empty property yet. Do we need to wait until they’ve got a villager completely moved out before they come and invite Maple or can they come over as soon as their villager they’re replacing is in boxes?

It basically means clothes/furniture/items received that can be displayed which means they are no longer the ‘default’ villager settings

People often like to adopt ungifted so they provide items that suit an aesthetic for that villager, eg I give Ketchup a lot of yellow clothes which someone else might hate

After six, you can invite whoever you want from people with moving out villagers (in boxes), mystery islands or campsite (and amiibo) up to 10 once you’ve sold plots and placed them to be filled

• You need at least 5 villagers to be fully moved onto your island.
• Unlock the museum (can either be the tent or the upgraded building).

To unlock the museum, give 5 different critters (bugs, fish, or sea creature) to Tom Nook.
• If both of these are met, Tom Nook will announce that Resident Services will be closed the following day for construction. The day after that you’ll have the building! (You can time travel to make this process quicker.)

as of 2.0 and above you can, you do need to unlock it after 3 star's at harv's island but there is a way to customize all the furnitures

so im the island representitive, and i made an alt account to have a tent for one of my builds. but im remodeling and i dont need that tent anymore so how do i remove my alt from the island

get them a house then when it says start game click - then talk to tom nook about kicking yourself (you must have a house on the account and be on the account you want to leave the island on)

Yesterday I found a person on a site that rhymes with bread-it who invited me to their island to help myself to as many turnips and 99k bags of bells as I could stuff in my pocket.
2 part question, how are they able to provide a seemingly endless amount of money to myself and several other players and why do so?
And are there other ways to seek out players that do that? I'm not trying to cheat or take advantage of the game, but all those bells allowed me to buy a lot of cool things for my kids who also play.

Some people have a lot of bells and dont have anything to do with them so they give them to players who need it, i dont know if there is a way to find people who do that, hope this helps

idk if this is the right channel to ask this in, but if i’m trying to follow backwardsN’s 4-step blue rose method, how many plots is “a lot of plots”? it doesn’t specifically say in the guide

rn i have 33 pairs each for the first two steps, then two superturtles laid out for when i get to the later steps. is that enough?

well 33 pairs is a good number but afaik what was intended is get a few proper red hybrid pairs like 2-5, and everything that isn't blu; or of gthe other colors on the graphe should go in the superturtle layout.
the size being defined by how much space you have and how many offsprings until you reach the desired blue
