call me impatient all you want, i've literally spent all day today trying to move a villager out of my island and yet nothing seems to work whatsoever. NOBODY wants to move, especially the chick I want to remove from residence, and I'm starting to legitimately get mad. What am I doing wrong?

this may not help, and im sorry in advance for that, but it goes like this for me: i have a good relationship with all my villagers, they all have a high level of friendship with me. however the game still programs them to, once in a while, appear with those thinking bubbles above their heads and some of those times it will be because they are thinking of moving. this happens even though i treat them all very well and would never want them to leave. so from this i can assume that a character deciding to leave all of a sudden is something that is just bound to happen in the game. ive also heard here that the game makes it happen randomly, just in case you do feel like having someone move that day. so if you have tried every trick and method and they did not work, my only suggestion would be simply waiting for the game to do its own job of eventually making the villager you are thinking of generate the “im thinking of moving” thought bubble

Unfortunately sometimes it can come down to RNG or luck. It can just take a while, it's not a guarantee no matter what method you use

Yeah, unfortunately then It's just horrible luck. I've had long streaks of this same issue as well. Try resetting to your current time and attempting again, but before you TT the 15 days or a month talk to everyone, starting with your target. Sometimes refreshing the times can help. There are some other methods, but I'm not as familiar with them :/

if it doesnt work out today, please dont be too disencouraged. there will be many opportunities to have the villager you want moving to your island (i believe its the reason why you want a villager to move out in the first place). people are always offering all kinds of nice villagers in boxes in this server, and you will come across the one you want again

depends on the treasure islands. they are in the end other people's islands, and allhave different rules and manners.
bear in mind 99.9% of them are full of hacked items, meaning if they are not responsioble with it , you might end up with a glitched item. overall don't pick up any kits (for plots or birdges / inclines) and any item displaying a japanese name if your system isn't in japanese

you can't throw away a kit; and since you are not meant to have it in the first place (in this manner at least) sometimes there isn't a solution to it. so just something to keep in mind. you won't have issues picking up classic furniture or materials, but any item you need to go through tom nook to get, shouldn't be picked up

No, anyone can plant flowers on someone else’s island. You need to best friends only if you want to dig up the flowers. (For other plants such as trees and shrubs, you must be best friends to both dig and plant)

You will never lose progress travelling backwards, however it can reset your Nook Miles streak and travelling forwards can spawn more weeds/flowers. If you travel forward then turnips will spoil and anything past the Sunday/Monday of the week forward or ahead will reset the NPC calendar

But there aren't really any consequences. I've been travelling back and forth between yesterday and today for two days to obtain things 😂

Your rating should update immediately, so you can try placing some items and go ask Isabelle again. And just keep trying til it bumps up to 5 again^^

Not sure what else to tell you. If you had visitors, I suppose someone could have planted a random one on your island. That’s the only other explanation I can think of, if you’re certain that you’re nowhere near 5 stars.

As for trying to get there now, I recommend trying to use items that will maximize your bonus points. For example: An item that is considered to be outdoor furniture, that is at least size 3x1, and is priced 20k and above will give you 6.5 points! (Many of the items in Nook Miles Redemption can fit this description, such as the gazebo and pergola)

And you have spoken to all your villagers before you skipped ahead by 1 month? If so, then that’s the correct process and it may just take some time!

That being said, if you continue going forward day by day and you see no bubbles for 15 days, I recommend that you restart the process. So, re-sync to real time, speak to all your villagers, and then follow the same method.

So a regular transfer between two switches will require you to have access to the old one to download the island transfer tool and manually transfer the island to the new switch. However, because your old switch broke, you will qualify for a cloud transfer, where a nintendo employee will help/manually transfer your old island over, provided you had it backed up. Did you back your old island up?

Start menu, hit the minus button and you'll have the option through Tom Nook's menu of options. Unfortunately, if you did not do this, there is no way to recover the island or transfer it outside of a manual island transfer using both the old and new switch.

Best of luck, if you do have a backup and cannot access the old switch contact Nintendo support and they can restore the island for you just inform them the switch broke (they only do this for a lost or broken switch)

I have 2 spaces set up for rocks but, the rocks aren't spawning anywhere on my island. My place is pretty developed but, rocks aren't coming back in any open spaces. Is there a limit to how many items/trees that can decorate an island before they spawn?
