i just spent literally like 3 and a half hours decorating, placing bridges (placed 2, about to pay off the third), and connecting paths and such. i made basically 2 park areas with a decent amount of furniture. i have so many flowers on my island and 2 inclines and im still only at 3 stars. what did i do wrong?

That's an extra membership that gives access to N64 & Genesis/Mega Drive games plus the Happy Home Paradise DLC for ACNH, but that only works while the online expansion pack is subscribed to, stop the expansion pack and you lose access to the DLC
On the other hand, you can buy the DLC separately from the eShop for 25€ and not have to worry about any membership ending

Water them and wait for them to grow and eventually you'll have hybrids of different flowers growing that will attract different kinds of bugs. It's important to note that you can't possibly catch every single bug in Animal Crossing without planting flowers.

It depends on their personality. There’s subtype A and B for each personality. Diana is snooty subtype A so she will not do reactions with you same as all the other snooties that is subtype A, subtype B snooties will do reactions

It appears that your trying to put it on a level above, it needs to be in the same level as the water

1. complaining about the way they talk resets any custom catchphrases; what they wear resets the gifted clothing they’re currently wearing (eg exercise outfit).

2. early bird pushes wakeup times and opening hours an hour earlier. closing times dont change. night owl does the same sort of thing, but they stay open one hour later and open at the usual time instead. beautiful island means villagers will help pick up sticks, water flowers more, etc. bell boom gives you more money for your sold items but raises the cost of everything too 😊

How can I get iron nuggets quicker? My island only has literally 1 huge rock each day. I'm not kidding, across the entire island. I only have access to the main part and the surrounding parts that are on the same height (only have the pole to jump over the water) and that one keeps spitting out bells. After its done spitting bells I break it, and sometimes it gives one single nugget, or a piece of clay. The only option I have left is using a nook miles ticket, but sometimes I am stuck on cane island and there's no rocks there.. Is there any quicker way to get 30 iron nuggets for the shop

It's random but the game first picks the species (with equal chance between species) and then the villager in that species (with equal chance between the villagers of that species)
So for example, since there are only 3 octopi villagers, you might see those often

Yeah but just word to the wise... Placing the flowers is a lot easier than removing them. I'm 2.5 years into my island and still have a large patch of windflowers from when I did that in April of 2020 lol

I already have decorations and fences, but Isabelle claims I need shops. I think I need Mabel for that and I brought some stuff from her but there was no cutscene. Do I have to wait? My island is at 2 stars.

•• FAQ: Unlocking the Able Sisters (Tailors/Clothing Shop) ••
You must buy at least one item from Mabel’s pop-up stand in Resident Services on two separate visits on your own island. Mabel will mention building the shop on her next (third) visit.

NOTE: You do not need to spend 5,000 bells as some sources say. You just have to buy at least one item during each of Mabel’s visits.
