It has to do with friendship points iirc. I know a similar chime usually happens when you fulfill a quest for a villager, and I believe it's the same type of thing for agreeing to visit their home.

Firstly you need Daisy Mae to come to your island on Sunday, you can buy turnips from her and you can sell these on any other day to nooks cranny for more bells, this is how you can make a big win with bells

daisy’s (buying) prices vary from 90-110, while nooks cranny selling) prices vary from basically 0-660

You will not be giving up your owning the game, as long as you have the nintendo account you purchased it with it will be fine. Having said that, you do not delete the game to delete save data. Below will be a tutorial on deleting just the save data, not the game

There is no way to determine the bubbles if it’s a moveout or a quest or catchphrase request. But i have a tip for you. If you see a bubble on any villager and don’t wanna talk to them, enter and exit any building or resident services. When you come out and the bubble stayed on the villager that is 100% the moving out one, if it’s gone then it’s a quest or request

Just keep going. You can increase your chances a bit by having a house moving plot in your pockets of another villager you want to stay

And what is the actual true storage cap limit? I have 3200 and I googled it and every place seems to have a cap of 2400 listed (probably pre HHP I'd guess) and I just want to be sure I'm truly capped out?

really depends on what you like doing, if you don't mind crafting/trading for bait and need to save miles then you can fish on your island. you can despawn fish on your own island pretty easily as well, it's just easier to do on a mystery island due to its size

despawning fish on a mystery island works better for certain types of fish you can tell by size which are clustered in one place or which might be harder to get to spawn in a certain spot, like pond fish or waterfall fish. for ocean fish, those spawns are generally getting reset when you move off screen anyway and sharks are pretty easy to spot

villagers aren't really "rare", it depends on their species. for example, there are only 3 octopi villagers, but there's who knows how many cats! the octopi are more rare since there's only 3

which gives you a lower chance of finding them

Yes, your friend has to first open their island. They have to go to the airport, choose "I want visitors", "via online play", "invite all my friends" if you two are Switch friends" or "invite via dodo code" if you aren't. Then you go to the airport, choose "I want to fly!", "Visit someone", "via online play", and "look for a friend" or "enter dodo code" depending on what your friend picked. Note that you need Switch online for this!
You can also visit via local play if you two are IRL/close distance friends, and can meet up and play together. That doesn't require the online sub. Just choose local play instead of online play at the airport

from reading up about this I don't think a visitor can stop someone from moving out of your island

it needs to be a resident on your island. I'm not sure why you'd run into something telling you you need to purchase the game, if it's already installed on your switch, you should be able to make a second profile under system settings > user, then just use that user profile to play acnh

Update to my last issue, about a week later of being gas-lit by the game with a lot of yellow balloons that weren't the golden slingshot, I eventually did get the golden slingshot when I'd fully given up hope. 😆 Completely at random. Good to know if you miss it, you get another shot.

The new thing going down that is a bit of a head-scratcher is I got island evals unlocked on my new island today, and all the villagers are alluding to KK coming tomorrow, and Isabelle keeps saying we got only 1 star. I tried restarting and closing and reopening... nothing is getting her to change her tune, but literally, all the villagers are giving me gifts and gushing about it. Has anyone else had this happen? My sneaking suspicion is that I may be shy one villager, so she's got a default reaction about needing more people on the island, but they'll be moved in by tomorrow. Just too tired to fiddle with it anymore today, but I guess the mystery will possibly be solved tomorrow. I was just curious if anyone else experienced this, because with my other island it was fairly straight forward with a cute phone call sequence.

The villagers are just telling you and giving you gifts because they want kk to come to your island. Kk will not come unless isabelle said you got 3 stars and the tom nook and kk slider phone call cutscene happened. You also need a minimum of 8 villagers 160 plus development points and 270 plus nature points to get 3 stars.

You have to be friendship level 5/6, and give a gift worth of 750+ bells for a photo chance. Recommended gifts for that (and climbing up to levels 5/6) would for example be two wrapped non-native fruit, any wrapped assessed fossil or three wrapped vegetables/coconuts. You should follow Isabelle's advice really, it's hard to say what you would be missing since you fill the villager requirement and everything. You don't have all that many trees, I believe it gives you a small penalty in points, but can def be worked around

flowers don't affect clutter, clutter applies specifically to having too many dropped items or having too many items that block paths in a specific area

if they are not, waiting until they are will affect the amount of nature points you get

Because while the only value of Turnips is to be re-exchanged for Bells, the Poki can buy things and are useful in their own right

there's a cap on how much poki you can exchange per day, per 100 bells usually the value is around 200-350

it's not a bell maker the way turnips are since there's a limited amount you can exchange per day and yeah, poki being its own currency means there's stuff you can buy with it directly

if you're interested in decorating, the daily shop and wardell's catalog may be a better way to use your poki than exchanging for bells

Player made tarantula/scorpion islands were nerfed a lot in a past update, since scorpion/tarantula spawns were lowered significantly. They do still work for catching one for the museum for example, but are not worth it as a money making method

But the actual tarantula/scorpion islands are still as good as ever

If you have it via the Switch Online expansion, only players with an active subscription can access it. Otherwise below are the requirements to unlock it. I wouldn't believe it should matter if the island rep was the one to buy it or not.. not 100% sure though

You can move all the buildings for a small fee, except for Resident Services (=plaza) and the airport! You gain the ability soon after your 5th villager has moved in.
But you're correct that people often reset because they are unhappy with the location of their Resident Services

you can sell them, dump them in the sell bin at nook's cranny, or dispose of them via a garbage item (garbage bin, steel trash can, garbage pail)

You have to dig them up and sell or give them away to other players. They will most likely respawn if the spaces are empty and there are other flowers nearby.

If they're your friend and you've visited them or they've visited you at least once, they can mail you the item too for 200 bells and it just arrives over the internet, no visiting needed (only 2 shipments per day to the same person tho)
