that, or you just haven't gotten all the extra tokens and complete tickets yet. but the game is so generous with those that i don't really care

The goal is like reg. Animal crossing- to collect furniture to decorate your camp site and have fun.
Just collect fish, fruit and talk to campers to raise friend lvl. To get leaf tokens and get the stuff you like! The cookies have different themed sets you can choose from!

I like complete cause getting backgrounds is easier!

the goal is to make bells and collect furniture to decorate your camp. leveling up and collecting more villagers helps you progress in the game but it's not something you need to focus on if you don't want to.

and while you're doing all that, there will be 3 main types of recurring events:

• bug catching - plant flowers that spawn bugs, catch as many bugs as you can to reach goals that reward you with furniture
• fishing tourney - catch the sparkly fish available every 3 hours, catch as many as you can to reach goals that reward you with furniture
• gyroidites scavenger hunt - just pick up the gyroidites you see laying on the ground in different places on your map, collect as many as you can to reach goals that award furniture (you can also go to the quarry twice a day to collect a bunch of gyroidites at once)

Hello guys! I've never played Pocket Camp and I can see I can send me things over New Horizons. Is it worth playing? If my partner wants to play with me but doesn't have the game would it better for him to play on the phone version or that we share the Switch?

PocketCamp is a different style of Animal Crossing. It's gotten much easier to play now, since it is a paid game. You can't "send over" items to Animal Crossing New Horizons, but you can link your Nintendo account and you should be able to get some unique items from the Nook Machine. Although, I read that this was time limited since ACPC turned into a game that you need to purchase.

As for if you want to play with your partner at the same time, you'd be better off with the Switch version as two people can play it at the same time in the same room. If you are talking about over distance, you'd both need your own Switch and own version of the game.

They're no longer connected since Pocket Camp is no longer hosted online, but if you can both afford it, Pocket Camp is pretty fun too! My husband enjoys decorating his camp with all the items, while I just hoard all the items I like and save them for "later" only to do nothing with them still 😂 The furniture items on Pocket Camp are way cooler than any of the mainline Animal Crossing games, since they had a different developer team. I actually wish we could port Pocket Camp items into ACNH.

You can decorate your campsite and the inside of your camper van (just like the rooms inside a house).

There are 3 types of events that repeat every month:

1. Flower/Bug-Catching event - Grow flowers and catch bugs to unlock furniture.
2. Fishing Tourney - Catch special fish to unlock furniture.
3. Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt - Collect gyroidites to unlock furniture.

The furniture in Pocket Camp is way cooler than anything in the actual Animal Crossing games. They have a lot of animations and the animal campers (villagers) have unique interactions with a lot of them. Many of them also have special effects like glowing in the dark (those are my favorite items).

Other things to do:

• Constantly gather fish, bugs, and fruits to complete your campers' requests, which gives them +exp points to level up.
• Complete Happy Home Academy courses (basically just selecting the correct furniture for different room layouts)
• You can dress your campers up in any shirt/dress (no bottoms) and some accessories by just talking to them and asking them to change, unlike in ACNH
• You can sometimes watch special scenes with your favorite villager by giving them a special gift (the special gifts are given to you on occasion and you can gift it to one villager to activate the scene/interaction) e.g. last month we got like a firework sparkler to gift to one villager, and this month it's an aquarium ticket to go to the aquarium with them!

You may like Pocket Camp if you think you'd enjoy any of these things

• Decorating a campsite
• Interior decorating (inside your camper rooms)
• Just leveling up your villagers and seeing the numbers go up (this activates the dopamine in my brain lol)
• Collecting furniture items that you may or may not ever use (I try to collect all the furniture to decorate with but honestly I haven't been decorating anything lmao I'm just hoarding shit but it also activates the happy in my brain when I complete the events and get the rewards 😂)

Hi! You actually didn't have to buy it before because it was a free-to-play game with micro-transactions!

They decided to stop updating it, so they created a new app called Pocket Camp Complete which is what you just downloaded.

You have to purchase it, but there are no micro-transactions and it's not connected to online, so they removed all features requiring an Internet connection, such as adding friends, trading with the market boxes, visiting random people's camps, etc.

But it's great news for those who never wanted to spend money on Leaf Tickets for fortune cookies, because now you can buy them very easily with Leaf Tokens that you earn in the game.

honestly, yes! the game doesn't have any micro transactions and it's way easier to get any item you want.

they are still adding new items, and there are many many monthly events to participate.

if you like to decorate, customise clothing (for you and the villagers) this is a great game. now you can also import patterns from Animal Crossing New Horizons.

there's no real online game play, but you can still add friends via #camper-cards and receive daily gifts from friends that are visiting Whistle Pass (new area).

I've been playing it for a couple of years and it's way better than the previous free version.

then when they were closing it down, they decided to sell a non-live service version with only a single payment fee.

the prices they had for the premium items before it got shut down were diabolical 💀

the gameplay itself? animal crossing lite.
you run around catching creatures like usual, yes. but your customizable living spaces are super small compared to something like NH.

And it’s fun to mess around with when I’m bored of ACNH or ACNL but still want animal crossing. I need to find a Wild World to play again, last time I played it I was young enough not to know how to really play it to its full potential

i would say if you enjoy decorating then yes, since that's the biggest aspect of it. there are monthly events which include a gardening event, fishing tourney and scavenging event, and compared to the old pocket camp they are extremely generous with leaf tokens etc and everything is rather cheap within the game now that there are no micro transactions

but it's £20 so it might not be worth it to some people
