In this situation I would drag and drop the wall material to the ceiling or floor, to confirm if the choice of material has any effect
it doesnt,
im just gonna replace the floor with a new cube and see if that has any effect
This confirms that materials are fine, and something with the mesh is the issue
If they're unity's default cubes, then we know the mesh itself is fine
especially since it'd be the same mesh as the walls
