#1. How do I fix overlapping lightmap UVs
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
You should first check where the lightmaps overlap.
You can do this
A) in the lightmap view
B) In Scene Debug View > Overlapping UV
Here is how to do:
https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/ProgressiveLightmapper-UVOverlap.html
well I know where they overlap, but how do I fix that?
I told it to generate UV lightmaps, so now only seven objects have overlapping UVs
Its written in the article
Okay... changing to 100 has limited it to two objects with overlapping UVs... hopefully 120 would do the trick
Thats not the best way. it just fixes it somehow
Better do this aproach
increasing lightmap resolution just makes in unnecessary big
I keep setting margins higher and higher, so far no progress
Okay... narrowed it down by... lowering the min lightmap resolution...
Okay, now I have no overlapping UVs, but the problem still persists, I click "generate lighting", the lighting flashes for one second, then it's dark again.
Something's just not working out, and I can't for the life of me figure what
any console errors?
Did you try using another shader?
How do your lightmaps look?
Holy shit
I added a baked GI node to the shader and it works now
Thank you for all your help
๐๐๐ป show me how it looks now
