screenshot
kinda darker buty not enough
first how many directional lights u have
Click Window - > Lighting -> Light Explorer
click Lights
show all lights
also Shadow Type needs to be enabled
how
wheres that
that good
you can play around with Ambient Color too and turn that down as well
intensity
turn that down
ok closer
closer to what
put the lighting intensity up on the directional light
those dark areas tunnels need you to put post processing to sell the pitch dark effect
you cnt have the whole level be darkness
put that in simple terms with instructiuons
read it carefully..
on the directional light
up the intensity of the light
change color from black to a sunny color or w/e
see now thats a good light but the tunnel is light now aswell
use post processing for that zone
how
are you using unity URP or standard
that would be standard
a bit of a pain to get Post Processing
basically this you need to add extra
i hate unity tuts
you can make a trigger box collider area for the tunnels with that Volume that has the exposure turned down
so i need to detach the tunnel?
nah
.
watch a video how you add the post processing
where is exposure?
thats not what i said
and ive done it all
so when its working and the ppfx works show me
first of all it shouldnt be Global if its only a trigger area
fixed
learn how the post processing volume works and how it affects different areas
cant u just tell me 😦
im already telling you more than i should, i dont gott precious time like you do
its not that difficult and there are plenty of resources on this
Color Grading
Exposure
that turns the entire scene dark
because you put it on Global mode
needs to be inside a trigger area like I said twice already
but for my movement to work it needs to be inside gorilla rikg
? do you know there is a difference between scene camera and game camera
listen im new alr
yeah well if you jump into things without learning how the editor even works this what happens..
the one on the player
yes
ye
thats the oinly 1
oh
you can turn on Global on just to configure it then switch it to trigger if you dont want to do that move camera thing
still dont work
works for me so you messed up something
do u mind if we vc
I mind, I'm at work
ok
if you followed the steps like I said it works
comprehension issue
didn't I say you can't see the preview unless the player camera is in the trigger?
i literally sent you a Gif
OR
Turn on Global first
to preview
it
A. That is the scene camera
ohhh
B. if it doesn't even make it dark with Global ticked on then you did not Set PP correctly
look at my screenshot
can i make another camera cvus i dont wanna move my rig
Box collider should be trigger, but you get the point
you dont need to move the camera to test it
just turn on Global
global is on
then if the effect isn't visible your Post Processing aint working
aw
ur entire scene is dark
The entire scene gets dark but only when inside the trigger..
oh
thats what post process does, it doesnt change any lighting
it just makes it appear darker
Volume goes inside a Post-Processing Layer
What is pp
then on Camera you add a PP layer
the same thing we've been talking about this whole time...
Post Processing..
my patience running thin
have you never heard of abbreviation ?
i realise
don't ask trivial questions then and pay attention
this good?
Layer on the camera yes
now show the object with the Global Volume
no camera doesn't need to be in post process layer
which layer is this in
this needs to be inside Post Processing layer you made
so main czamera shouldnt have pp layer?
right
this?
find this button
in scene view
make it blue and check in Post Processing
you probably closed it out
how i mopen it/
how to i check in pp
if you checked in Post Processing in the dropdown it should be working then
¯_(ツ)_/¯
wdym transparent
what is transparent ?
the tunnel/
ok
]so just checking. that darkness effect will only happen inside the green zone/
if you uncheck global, yes
isGlobal means the whole scene anywhere
unchecked means it is Local to the Collider area
right..
Global is for if you want to add other post processing to your player that isn't related to a certain area
like a HIT fx
or other stuff like Bloom for lights
🫡
it should
cant test it yet
