More than 80% of animals kept in zoos are only there for the enjoyment of the people visiting the zoo, not the aspect of rescuing animals. Zoos as a whole are part of the past. They wont extist like this in 20 years. And I’m glad that they wont exist anymore.

Dont see this as a personal attack, its just such a bad idea to imprison dozens and hundreds of animals just for the moeny. I hope you get my point?

First of all he doesn't know what THE WILD is. Second hes very shy and gets stressed easily in new areas. It took 2 month for him to finally enter the area. I know that some zoos arent the best and some shouldn't not even exists but zoos help animals from extinction (Take perziwalsky horse for example (idk if i spelled that right)). They help animals that would naturally die in the wild (like from a serious injury or something like that) . Zoos make money to help animals by showing them to the public and educate them about conservation. This weekend im joining a race to support a baby orangutan to have a better life and make his enclosure more natural.

On one hand i understand your point i seen and been in zoos with horrible enclosures and spaces. But on the other hand i love going to zoos because i dont have the money to go on an expensive trip (for example) to Australia and see a kangaroo in its natural habitat (even though that does sound awesome) . And as an artist i like training myself drawing faster since the animals are always moving.

Our zoo was built around 1960 and historically Slovakia is not the richest country (Slovakia was allot of times colonized by other countries, literally slave is from the Slavic word slav) and in some enclosures you can still see the horrible past, but they are rebuilding the enclosures in to more open and natural spaces.

First of all: Just because he doesn't know what the wild is doesnt mean that's okay! If I captured your parents and you were born in my home, does that mean you wouldn't have a right of freedom? No, it doesn't. So that point doesn't make any sense. Second point you made: Yes, zoos CAN help to keep animals from Extinction. But there are only so few examples for that, ice bears, lions, elephants, all the great animals that you see in zoos ARE NOT ENDANGERED. They are only captured there for the money. And they are mentally ill because of it. It's a hell in zoos. I don't have anything against saving animals that are injured but the truth is that this isn't the main source for animals in zoos. Sure, some do get saved and some do get brought back into the wild after healing in zoos BUT most animals are taken into zoos to die there after a fraction of their common lifetime. Third point you made: Yes, they do make money with it, and they do support organisations but that's just a drop in the ocean. It does not help. At all. It's great that you're trying to support a baby urang utan. But the truth is: His life would be better if he'd be in his home. There are organisations in Indonesia and other countries that protect the wild life right where it is. You don't have to put animals into small rooms to save them.

You see, I totally get that. You want to see the great animals there are. I want that too, thats why I play Cells. It's a great way to learn about great specie that are so diverse. But imprisoning animals, making them mentally ill and taking multiple years of life from them is not the way thats right. Animals do deserve better. You can always watch documentaries about a lion. You don't have to see it's fake habitat in the capitalistic zoo to understand what a lion is. As an example: You prob know dinosaurs. Everyone does. Everyone thinks they're awesome. Yet nobody has ever seen an alive dinosaur. Still people love them. So why can't you have the same fascination about animals like the lions I mentioned by watching movies, documentaries and reading books/articles. I'm sure you don't want to hurt any animals. But you do. You're helping the wrong guys there. Instead of spending your money on a ticket to the zoo you could give it to an organisation. Maybe even to support the urang utans you mentioned. That would be much better help

People love dinosaurs because they are a mystery on how they looked or behaved. We only have few clues on how they could possibly look like (fossils, skin impressions). The mystery of an animal so unique that no animal resembles them today (well birds are an exception) is what makes them so popular.

Hateg Horror- As the sun beat down on the Islands sand and soil, a natural sense of peace lingered theoughout the coasts of Hateg island. A Zalmoxes and a Telmatosaurus were feeding close by each other, and rather enjoyed eachothers company. The peace was soon interrupted as the nearby herds sensed something. As many members looked towards the sky, they saw it. They saw a dark, wide shilloete against the sun, at first it looked like a few large birds. But these were no avians. They were Hatzegopteryx, and they were not stopping for a friendly visit. As they decended, a few of the more skittish animals decided to not take chances, and flee into the underbrush, the Zalmoxes tried to alert his Telmatosaurus friend, but it was futile as the Telmatosaurus was too focused on chewing on the vegetation. The Zalmoxes, valuing its own life, scurried behind a nearby rock as the Hatzegopteryx swopped down. Luckly, he was quick enough to avoid being seen. But as the Zalmoxes peeked around the stone, he was greeted by the horrific sight of his friends, much more, unlucky fate.
