Switching to beta never ruined my progress, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Being a beta tester usually will have that risk. Also, with GameTransfer, you can keep your game saved before trying out the beta just in case your progress does get messed up.

Also, the 'Ai unlocked' thing will probably be some kind of bug. You know how the Amino Acid and the text 'Ai unlocked' are basically the default items that appear when bugs occur? That's possibly what this is here.

This is a rare bug I have found ages ago while switching languages for the curiosity.
