British short scale, and those are real numerical terms for those big numbers. They have been officially adopted by the UK, and America since 1974. But you don’t ever see them, because we have no context for them.

If we were to divide the observable universe into planck volumes, we could fit 100 sexagintillion (1e185) of them, well short of a centillion, 1e303.

To get 1e303, we need combinatorials, like the number of possible permutations of a 170-card deck, to reach it.
