Mesozoic Vally should get some changes

It feels kinda outdated compared to beyond and primary simulation

I honestly think Mesozoic Vally should get a complete overhaul on the future. So you can add new things to it and even new features never seen in cells history

I would love for Mesozoic Vally to receive some love in the future

I was thinking something along the same lines. There are all of the mammals from the cenozoic. Also, there are like 7 whole geologic periods from the paleozoic era before the mesozoic (eight if you include the ediacrean from even earlier.) On top of that, you have everything before the paleozoic. There are several directions that they could definitely take MV in.

However, because this is a new beta version, if you enter the Beyond you will get the 🔄 Beyond Jump and your progress on Episode 19 will be reset. Your Beyond progress will not be reset if you do not enter the Beyond during this version, or if you do not install this version.

Android and Steam both auto-update unless you tell them not to, so please make a choice. For many of you, the Beyond Jump is no problem. We would like your input on the Tea Event. Some of you, we know, want to keep your current progress.

So! If you do not want the Jump for Episode 19, there are several things you can do:

1. Shift back to the production/stable track before this release goes out. Change ‘betas’ in Steam, or switch out on Android. Come back after the next production/stable release.
2. On Android, turn off auto-updates so that you don’t get this version.
3. Just don’t enter the Beyond at all in this version. Wow, will you have stardust when you get back.

Again, we would like your input on the Tea event, so I hope you can play it. But if you want to keep your current Episode 19 progress, skip tomorrow’s build.

Good point ... I always wondered if that worked. My only trial was when I was transferring the saved game from Android to Steam .. I lost all my badges on the Steam version after the transfer. So, I have stayed away from this mode 🙂

you do have to be careful about it - if you try to swap, any beta-only badges will be lost. If you want those beta badges, you have to wait until the stable/non-beta/public version has a place-holder for them. Same for Beyond ranks.

@vague basalt none of my badges had transferred - at least I did not see a single one in the badge folder and on top of that the badge multiplier was incorrect as well .... But that was when I had initially started testing steam .. had to rebuild my Linux box (older machine and have installed the latest Ubuntu ... Let me try again today and see). But you are correct, do need to be mindful of the beta badges as I am not planning for the beta build on Steam.

the ranks are based on "research points"(aka rp). You get more of them when you have more currency, badges, ect. You are Guru 2, which is the highest shape(circle, traingle, square and pentagon

each shape has 3 levels

and each level has 10 levels in between

Phase 1 didn't get several of those missions until partway through, because of balance. Getting more cards in the Stellar Nursery accelerates everything. For game balance, you have to be careful about introducing powerups like that too early -- like allowing Link to earn the master sword immediately in LOZ, right? Also, when there's randomness in a purchase/powerup, it spreads things out a lot - folks who get lucky and get the rares are going to move a lot faster than the folks who don't. Once they're in the mix, we have to balance the game for both the lucky and the unlucky, and that's harder to do earlier on. So we can introduce missions (to earn them for free) a bit futher in when they won't be quite so likely to break the game.

The Journey of Serenity:

• New costs, production values, and connections for both research nodes and generators
• New look for Russell's Tea Pot badge
• New “Tea House” node
• Fixed: Badge overlap with tea leaf currency

Research Race:
This new competitive system will allow players who join our weekly events to play against a randomly selected group of 20 other users who are also playing the event. Once you are in the event, it is up to you to race against the 20 other users to see who can come out on top. The top three players will get logits as prizes. 1st place gets 25, 2nd place gets 10, and 3rd place gets 5 logits.

No, you will be subject to the Beyond Jump. So one of the suggestions that was made was that you cloud save your game. Update to the latest beta version. Execute the Beyond Jump and then download the game progress from cloud.

Note that I have not tested that but it seems some other beta testers have had luck with that.

the normal, scientific and custom, they just change how the amount of things are represented, but they all mean the same thing

Not sure this is the right channel for that. Anyway I'll try to explain some things. is Entropy, the main currency of the evolution tree of the primary simulation (the main section of the game, if you will). are Ideas, those are used for the civilization part of the tech tree. "Normal" notation is made of abbreviated versions of English words for large numbers. They go Million (M), Billion (B), Trillion (T), Quadrillion (Qa), Quintillion (qi), Sextillion (Sx), Septillion (Sp), Octillion (Oc) and so on. This uses the short scale, so each next unit is separated by a factor of 1 000 from the last one. Scientific notation on the other hand is used widely across mathematics. It consists of a number between one and ten being multiplied with some power of ten. Custom notation is just a redesign of normal notation, but starting at AA for one quadrillion, multiplying by 1000 gives BB, then CC and so on

In this beta channel, I would hope (expect?) that folks are trying to figure out how to make the game better, one way or another. The Devs have allowed the users to exert a lot of influence, which is awesome (like, TOTALLY AWESOME!!), and they (the devs) are very open about their plans for the game, so this openness might be a tad "unusual" in that other game developers don't normally invite so much feedback, and maybe possibly some folks don't know how best to utilize such an opportunity.

Does anyone know when we can safely purchase Darwinium and go into the Beyond? The FAQ on the Beyond jump, https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wlBmmSpWWQnxMnZomgvMMlxPU1ugYsEfsDTPYT_mgpA/edit#heading=h.vt892dkkzlw2, tells us when we shouldn't purchase Darwinium while playing Beyond. But since some of resets are forced, it would be good to know when it is actually safe to be able to purchase Darwinium and go into the Beyond. This is a different question than when we shouldn't go into the Beyond after purchasing Darwinium.

2. If you buy darwinium right before you rank up Universe 17 or 18 (not 19), it will be "saved" for that rank and subsequent ranks. You just have to be careful. And then make sure you have a cloud save (always!)

I have already ranked up Beyond level 19. Currently, a reset would put me back to the end 18/start of 19. However, I have to assume that at some point, the forced resets will set me to what ever I have at the end of 19 so that development on 20 can start. However, right now, I am somewhat low on Darwinium and I would like to increase that amount before development on episode 20 starts. But I don't know when I can safely make that happen.

personally, I see no reason to rush to buy darwinium - save it for a while, let the dust settle.

If you happen to use an iOS or Android device, things are little more "free". For example, on Android you can watch ads for "free" boosts.

Two fun discoveries in the update into Beta today. All progress in the public beyond made in 19 gets erased. By that I mean I bought a black hole for constellation stars to fill out Orion. That went poof. Also I spent Darwinium to unlock the last research slot. It's locked again. I thought gains made in the alpha were kept in beta.

Well. I expect gains made in beta to go poof once you transition back to the public alpha. It's why I waited to buy the last research in alpha, and why I waited to open a black hole for constellation stars. So that's 125 lost Darwinium. So lesson learned. Nothing is permanent in Beyond

Maybe I couldn't find how to do it on the tea event. I know you can get the nanobots to generate leaves and you can tap for them too. But there's no capacity to get those actions for cups needed beyond a certain point
