In one of the early beta test releases of the Pollination event, I had completed the event and the developers pushed a new beta version before the event duration ended to add a new stage before the last badge. That reset my progress in the event and I had to redo that new stage and the last badge stage. It had not taken away the 3rd badge from my first run and hence I ended up getting two 3rd badge for that exploration event beta run.

Guess being an early beta tester, I had 4 rounds of beta testing that I did .... There were multiple beta releases in December ... And then if I recall correctly, 2 runs of the Pollination event.

During the Pollination event beta testing, I missed a lot of the James Webb events as you can see that my James Webb badges are significantly low 🙂

I believe that the profile card shows the time spent for the current simulation and the duration is not the calendar days but the time spent actually playing the game for that simulation run. I had made a suggestion for the devs to also include the total time spent playing the game but that might not have been accepted by the devs .. FYI .. my total Experiment Duration as logged in tbe tool is 71 days (total time actually played) and my current simulation duration is around 1 days and a few hours (I have played the current simulation, number 27, for around 10 calendar days) and I have been playing the game for over 2 years now ...

Cell Support, I went in and bought the Gorilla as a Logit Prize. If I remember right, in the past during one of the beta testing I bought a Logit Prize and spent some Logits when the beta run was going on. When the production version, I had to purchase the same Logit Prize again .. so technically paid for it twice. I have no issues doing that as that is a prize that I am paying for being a beta tester. Hope others feel the same way too 🙂

So, I see the Neural Network in the Fungus exploration, but not in the primary sim. The description of it in the metabits store says primary sim and explorations.
Also, it should probably match the rest of the menus in terms of light/dark theme - the white is jarring.

comment on the music/soundtrack of the new "deep sea" event: when the event starts, there is a shift a few times. Somewhere near the beginning of the event, there is this cartoony/comical kinda of music, which then switches into the peaceful, chord-heavy ambient appropriate for an ocean motif once you get the first generator. When I transitioned from the first zone to the second zone, I did notice a brief sound, but the music stayed the same. I was kinda looking forward to the music changing, even if only slightly (ie, different key, something).

Back to the beta event, the offline generation seems really strong. Which helps because in general the gameplay is very slow.

The mechanics for this one are kind of neat.

In that it recursively improves the basic starter.

Small update on the way, related to Neural Network features.
Version 17.01

• Neural Network tutorial is now shown for new players that have not picked out a username.
• Add friend and change name input is easier to use on a phone.
• Better sound effects for login prizes.
• Profile picture picker shows current icon.
• Add friend panel will let you paste a player name from copy/paste clipboard.
• In order to reduce player clutter, players that have not chosen a profile name will not be submitted to the Neural Network leaderboards. ( in future events)

The event ends soon, and this is as far as I was able to get. Bear in mind I used a LOT of darwinium and played every day. I think the event is a bit too difficult, at least on PC. Also I think there's a visual glitch with the percentage increase thingy being there lol
