My brother had a bug where when he restarted the simulation the game froze and crashed, after rejoining the game was all restarted

In beyond his plants where he left left them but the over all level was low
Example
Having pluto but still in beyond 1

After he tried to upgrade from beyond 1 to beyond 2 he got upgraded to the level where he was (11 I guess

Still Having all the plants in beyond for some reason so he upgraded from 1 to 2 but it got upgraded to the original level (11)

He do the same with the valley since he still have all dinosaurs too? So he get back to his original level

But in the main simulation he can't restart the simulation or the game will crash (or buy the singularity)
But all the tech tree upgrades are still open without the regenerators being bought
