How exactly does the smart upgrade option work?

Smart is very cool. It seems to determine what your next goal should be. For example if you have 183 of a certain Generator, it will calculate how much another 7 of them will cost to get to a nice round multiple of 10. However, if you are looking at a Generator which is low down on the tree, and if you can afford it, then it may suggest a larger upgrade, perhaps another 67 of them in one hit, to get that Generator up to 250 straight away.

I've only just started playing C2S recently, but that is what I have observed. I may be wrong on this.

Yep, there seem to be quite a few of these idle/clicker games that use the same back-end mechanic, but are about different themes/topics. I'm quite satisfied with playing CTS for now, as I am learning interesting stuff while I'm playing. If I were to switch to a similar game with the same back-end, using the same gamer skill set, but which was all about making pizza or running a theme park, it just wouldn't hold my attention for as long as CTS has.

Yep, I am just ultra-aware of clones and ripped-off games, from a past experience with another (very different) idle game that I used to play. This is completely different to that previous situation though, as here there is a game engine (Unity) at the back-end, so it is only natural that there will be many games with a similar "feel" to them. Hello good people. I've joined the server to ask about a change that i observed recently. I don't want to post it in the bugs section as I'm not sure whether that was an intentional change or not.

Couple weeks ago my primary exploration (generation speed) slowed down significantly. When i go to the Reality Engine and look at the production multipliers, I see the "total produced" multiplier reduced about 1000 times.

Is this known? Is it impacting others?

for example, theres "Paleontologist Legend (Old)" and "Paleontologist Legend (New)"

the old roles are going to be removed soon to be replaced by the new ones, the new ones have connection requirements that you have to link through the game to check if you meet the requirements and then you can give yourself the roles. The reason I didn't simply edit the previous roles to have the requirement is cause then nobody would have roles as it would have automatically removed the role from everyone if I added the requirements

To have your roles linked, your choices at present are either:

1. Be in the Beta program; or
2. Wait for the public rollout of the new roles system.
   Apparently it should be being released fairly soon. I have applied for the Beta program myself, but I'm expecting to see the new roles system go public before my application gets approved, probably.
