idk if i understood your question correctly, but there is a simple formula for that: cost = x*y^z. lets say the inital cost is x (lets say its 10), then you have a multiplier y that determines how much the cost increases per upgrade (lets say its 10% so 1.1) and then there is the level z that determines the price or the next upgrade (lets say the fifth)

10*1.1^5 = 16.1051
